LOVE that man John Prine (one line of his that chases away any negative moment: "That topless dancer had something up her sleeve..." : )

Well, I'm trying to have comfort imagining John in his youth, "fishin' and whistlin' in heaven"....

Alas, it was his time.   It is a sad day.

John Prine, Who Chronicled the Human Condition in Song, Dies at 73

A folk singer and songwriter with a raspy voice and an offbeat humor, he was revered by his peers, including Bob Dylan.

That is very sad news.  Prine was a tobacco smoker for much of his adult life, if I recall, so this could be a tough struggle.

I played John Prine obsessively in the early 1970s.   Many of my high school friends were huge fans.   (These friends all played instruments.)

I used to think of John Prine as somebody who epitomized what was truly great about the USA.

John Prine immortalized the company in his song Paradise.   In tribute, it would be nice if the song was played a couple of times (unless Peabody Energy's legal team scares the bajesus out of you......)
