i actually ended up at a commercial event (margaritaville hollywood)

we had great time

food and drink was on point and the fireworks show was on a huge barge at sea

the dj was decent most of the day/night (especially if you like a large dose of bruce springsteen )

all in all a nice experience

It's become my least favorite holiday. In addition to the people a few doors down with their non-stop fireworks, a guy across the street had a smaller celebration going on. I looked out the window once and saw him sort of randomly point one of the fireworks and then run away and I thought, "yeah, that looks real safe."
