Oh babe, meet me in Tompkins Square Park
I wanna hold you in the dark
One last time
Just one last time
Oh babe, can you tell what's on my tongue?
Can you guess that I'll be gone?
With the twilight
With the twilight

And no flame burns forever, oh no
You and I both know this all too well
And most don't even last the night
No they don't, just say they don't

Oh, babe, I never been so lost
I wanna hear you laugh one last time
Just one last time
But oh, babe
I really wish you were not pry
I only ever told you one lie
When it could have been a thousand
It might as well been a thousand

But no flame burns forever, oh no
You and I both know this all too well
And most don't even last the night
No they don't, just say they don't
And we can talk it around again girl
Around and around
Around and around again
We could leave it out tonight
Leave it out
Just leave it out

I never tried to trick you, baby
I just tried to work it out
But I was swallowed up by doubt
If only things were black and white
'Cause I just want to hold you tight
Without holding back my mind
Without holding back my mind

But no flame burns forever, oh no
You and I both know this all too well
And most don't even last the night
No they don't, just say they don't

Sorry, this is horribly contrived to my ears.  A mash up of so many familiar well-known styles .  Like the Kasabian of folk.
This was the first song that didn't turn me off from this group.
Downgraded to a 2 cause I saw them live in a small club, they were infinitely better than this pop bs
Definite TWOD vibe and preferred over their typical acoustic stuff.

Agreed.  Solid all the way through.
oof, bad
Toward the end I always think they're going to segue into Bon Jovi, Wanted Dead or Alive

Pretty good, and I absolutely can't stand any of their previous stuff. It does sound very War on Drugs-y, but I'll take that over the banjo plucking and shouting...
Really like this album.  And this song.
Very dissapointed in Mumford after such a great first album.  The show I saw this year was ok, which sucks as seeing them live was what made me a fan in the first place.
This is SO weak compared to the first album. They've replaced the banjo with an electric guitar and added a drum kit, but lost all the raw energy that made them awesome.
So Poshboy and his minions have moved from pseudo-folk with wall-to-wall banjos, to generic by-the-numbers soft rock. From irritation to boredom {#Sleep}
I'm liking this better than their previous efforts, all of which IMHO sound the same as the other.
It might be the production value, and the more upbeat indie sound assigned to it, but I do like it.
Not sure what to make of it but glad to see a break from the pure acoustic folk style (insert inescapable hillbilly reference here). Hugely talented musicians. So glad to see them challenging expectations.
A lack lustre ending to a super set.
Sounds kinda like..........oh cmon you knew someone was going to!  Let's just get it out of the way!{#Umbrella}
I'm wondering if I like the production more than other qualities of the song.
I was apprehensive I would like their new stuff.
Glad to hear.
Like most good artists, they have moved along.
Nice.

Very nice.
