Everything that's alive grows from a tiny seed.
You know the little tomato seeds you and Nancy planted in your garden,
and how they grew into nice, red tomatoes?
yeah
"Laughter"
look Dad

Well like this.

Daddy?

Remember how I told you the hen lays an egg?

When the baby grows up to be an old man, and dies,
they bury his body in the ground.
But his soul goes to heaven.

Now look here

Aww i'm bundled,
I got on like two jackes on,
two pair of pants,
about three socks,
a hat,
I need a mask too cause it's cold.
Real cold.

My brain just dribbled out my ears with the left/right switching....

"Fitting in the album’s nostalgic feel it samples the 37th volume of Journal of Social Hygiene from the year 1951."

Thanks - I knew I recognised it from somewhere.

(6 bump to) 8 for me too.  I really like hearing 'samples' from old recordings, esp. when the pops of the vinyl can be heard....no idea where that's from... Nonetheless, the grove is great and I'm happy with my 8.

Long Live RP!!

The grove on this track is just too fine to be an 8; it's a 9 now....LLRP!!
album cover looks like the weather we are having today in April (I should be playing golf).  The winds are bad.

For you in warmer climates, you can tell the picture had bad winds too with how the snow is pasted against the tree trunks.

Where do Emancipator, Lemon Jelly et al get their samples from?
I'm sure the guy talking about babies is the same chap you hear on various Lemon Jelly tracks (Nothing?)
Do they just watch a huge number of old movies?

The harsh snow and wind blowing outside my house makes this album title, dare I say, ironic. >As Michigan braces for subzero temperatures and wind chills down to -50 degrees, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has declared a state of emergency < January 2019 is going out like a lion.

Good Groove.  8 from me.
Don't like talking in a song-3
Opera keeps on getting in my rock n' roll!
Reminds me of RJD2

Not sure why, but I'm really enjoying this this morning.
Going to see him/them Sat. night in Boston.  2nd time around.  Haven't heard much by them that I don't find interesting.

Interesting. The channel switching from left to right is a bit overdone IMO - made me a bit seasick with headphones on. Never thought of a bad cellphone conversation as inspiration for a song either. But it's so chill I give it a 7 overall.

You need a nice valve amp....some Voight pipes and a bigger space for it....sounds quite sublime here

The kind of tune that would work almost too good in a movie soundtrack. The scene would have to be excellent to not be overwhelmed by the music. Perhaps, the music would make a mediocre scene be memorable. Excellent stuff!

Agreed. I love discovering tracks like these on RP for potential licensing for trailers...

Is that Shatner?

Nice!  I don't like the weather stuff though!
Curious. Off-beat and very RP. This could grow on a listener. Nice cover photo, too. 7 from the chilled (both senses) Nottingham jury.
