Clearly the latter.

esse álbum é perturbador, mas muito foda. Essa mina foi bruta... Muito boa.

Ah Denton! They finally got big enough to have a festival. Here's the flyer. Maybe they can book Sarah for a proper headliner!  :)

Great to see Brave Combo still hanging in there!

She's cute in person.  Super adorable, actually.
It's the straight up, no frills, "Texan" about her! Dunno much about her, really....just, kinda know how TX ladies are...better still...Texans, in general!

My sentiments exactly...I keep having to stop what I am doing to check out what's playing and it ruins my days

I love that - "Effortless and easy." I was hunting for a description, and this does it.  This is a really enjoyable song (I'm tired of writing "great" to describe a song, because it's become as cliché as "love" - could mean anything from a deep, heartfelt commitment to a verbal pat on the back.)

She's got a quirky vibrato and a tightly-controlled power - it's like any minute, if she were to unleash her voice, it would set off all the Geiger counters within a hundred-mile radius. {#Sunny}
 Cynaera,

I only know you through your posts and not in real time. What a wonderful soul you were.

Good God man! Don't be so selfish. One word-  *headphones*

What are you going to do when that coffee runs its course? Request 5 minutes of dead air? HEADPHONES
sometimes it sounds like you pay the same mediocre song over and over
It's no masterpiece, but I like it just fine.

Old 97's are also from Denton. Both together would be a great show.

I think you should play w/Lord Huron!!  That would be fantastically rad!

I'm copy/pasting this from my comment on her other song on RP:

She did a really great PJ Harvey cover live with the Toadies (you remember them) a couple years back.

Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJpPXfjXFmA

little fish, big fish swimming in the water...

Decent cover, respect to anyone covering a PJ song
a hint of Missy Higgins...
i love the rythm of this song
I absolutely love Sarah Jaffe. She doesn't get enough airplay. Thanks for playing her songs, Bill.

Digging this after first listen! Thanks
Like the cello work  in this, particularly the pizzicato ... complements her voice really well.

it is pizzicato, isn't it?
Meet me in Montauk

Nice song.
But...that guitar bridge sounds familiar. Similar too...  We can hear that in what other tune? I can't place it.  A Lord Huron cut?
Help us out with the ear worm, anyone.

Yes, Lord Huron.  BINGO!
Nice song.

What is with all the Clementine since Oh My Darlin'? This, Elliot Smith, Megan Washington. Others?
I wonder if Grace VanderWaal has heard this song?

tempo (at least at the beginning) is really good
digging this, glad it's back

Yeah, pretty interesting things going on here. Like Kim Deal, Tonya Donnelly, Kathleen Edwards, Beth Orton &Kristin Hersch all in one

That's a pretty good cast of musical artists to be inspired by.

looks more like Suburban Nightmare than Suburban Nature
btw suburban nightmare is an actual affliction
I think there's genius in the repeat.

Cute.
Catchy pop tune; 7-ish.
PSD, this is painfull... :(
Love this upbeat rhythm....she's got some real talent, and love her voice! {#Music}
Thought this was Regina Spektor. Glad I looked.
AWESOME!
Love it. perfect for work or home.....even while driving :-)
Oh, oh, at first you flinch, this is not what i was expecting, but then you have to admit you wouldn't have it any other way
Excellent disguise of segue

(Edit) oh crap, this was supposed to refer to the next song, willie nelson with blue eyes crying in the rain. Sorry, don't hate me because I'm beautiful. Hate me because I'm stupid.

another waif.......{#Whisper} ( might grow)....{#Dance}
Got this song after just one listen on RP and it's now a regular sing-along in my house. My kids even like it.

I feel like the first time I heard Come As You Are on the local rock radio in 1991 with no awareness of Nirvana.

Thanks Bill and Rebecca

I gotta go in the opposite direction, the more I hear it, the closer it gets to "nails on the blackboard".  Down to a 5.

Great song! Just saw Sarah Jaffe on her tour with Centro-Matic in June — both were excellent.  If you get a chance to see her, do it!
yes!

yea, no kidding, that is truly dreadful.  But I like the song, though.

Yea, this is not working for me......yea......
Good Stuff
This is a terrific song, and Sarah Jaffe's delivery is perfect for it.
I will listen for other material from her.
Really attractive album cover. Was she on A&E's 'Intervention'?

Like it!

I like it.
This album cover reminds me of the Vampire Weekend album cover.  And I think another one.  Is it suddenly a new trend to have a bad polaroid for the cover photo?
very catchy chorus: I wish mine, I wish mine, I wish mine, I wish mine name was Clementine! {#Whistle}

Change your voice, sister... and fire your photographer!!!

A tuneful Beth Orton. Nice, 7.
Evertime I hear this artist I stop to look up who is singing. Very intriguing with a cool sound.

Not bad! Good voice!  But a strange cover art!

First impression is good.  I really like her voice and tempo.  I'd like to hear more off this album.

Same for me.  Thanks again RP!

I first saw live her opening for Norah Jones (and I heard her on KXT).  I got her album (thanks what) and I uploaded this song to RP. It seems Rebecca liked it. I also saw her live yesterday (album release party). Clearly her songs sound much better live :)

I'm uploading Vulnerable and Swelling. I hope Rebecca likes those songs too :)

Love her voice!!!!!!!!

This is great, my first listen and I really like it.

Seriously check her out on the interwebz...holy crap, what a voice...so effortless and easy.

She could start a Violent Femmes cover band. That's not a bad thing.
