i've enjoyed a lot of Mr Hansard's music but this one falls  into a 'drama' mode I'm not all that fond of. Similar to the "Muse" mood. Not a fan but am open to hearing others off this album.

I don't know you, but I am filled with jealousy. Especially because I missed a show when he was touring with Eddie Vedder and his uke. Eddie's uke. I don't know what Glen had. Because I wasn't at the show. Now I'm sad again.

The Frames é uma banda irlandesa sediada em Dublin. Fundada em 1990 por Glen Hansard, a banda foi influente no cenário da música rock de Dublin. A banda começou em 1990 em Dublin, e foi fundamental para o desenvolvimento de muitas bandas de rock irlandesas emergentes da época, incluindo Turn. Eles também fizeram turnê junto com outros artistas irlandeses. Em dezembro de 2004, Hansard apareceu no palco para colaborar com Paddy Casey e The Dublin Gospel Choir. Saw Glen the night before last, solo acoustic, right here on Cape Cod. Highly recommended, if you ever get a chance to see him like that. His voice is exquisite, can't think of anything he can't do. Highlights were a gorgeous drop d cover of Tim Buckley's, " Buzzin' Fly," and a couple of verses of, " Into The Mystic."

It is a powerful song... but it makes me giggle. I had a neighbor who sang (a bit over the top like this) and played guitar in various spots around the city. He would ask me to sit and listen to him play at home. I could never keep a straight face.

Sounded Buckley-esque to me.  I like that fact more than some of the other commenters.  Not as good as Buckley, and not a rip-off either.  I think Hansard is good in all his various projects, and I liked this tune enough to log in and comment instead of letting it "just go by"

definitely went and saw Once in theatres, but the sound quality was so bad we couldn't understand a word they said outside of liberal usage of the word f*ck, {#Biggrin} still really enjoyed the movie, was better when we watched it again with subtitles.  Love Glen's voice! (and marketa irglova's for that matter, but thats a little off subject)

Just saw "Once". Decent movie. For once, a movie set in Ireland that doesn't have everyone saying "f##k sake" every other word.

I wouldn't necessarily call their work, "enjoyable", but I like it for some reason. As for Hansard, he's got an album in him that should be called "Songs for the Needy."
