Wow, I just looked on the internet and this seems to be true. I never knew that and can't help but wonder how in the world it came to happen. And while searching that I found one other interesting thing, Edie Brickell and New Bohemians reunited this year and released an album called Stranger Things. Flew right under my radar, that's for sure! And fans know how it sounds? The "editorial" review on Amazon was fairly glowing.
Excuse me if this has been pointed out already, but this should be titled Edie Brickell and New Bohemians, not simply Edie Brickell. She has since gone solo of course but this is off the second and last album she did with the band that made her semi-famous. I point it out because this is SUCH an amazing record and - no offense to her - it's mostly because of the remarkable musicianship of her former bandmates. They play so good on this album that I hate to see them getting overlooked, even if in such a small context. As for the lowish ratings, I'm pretty surprised. Strings of Love is such a great song, one of the best on the record. Perhaps people were expecting something soft and poppy since it was Edie Brickell so they failed to realize that this is a rocking song...you really gotta turn it up and let the rhythym section come through loud and clear on this one.
Coming undone trying to reveal me I've been hiding my heart hiding my face In every available hiding place But I guess you found me out You really found me in love Edie's not a mystic. Awww shoot.

Wow! First exposure to this artist and so far I'm very much impressed.

tried to trick me again...but I KNEW it this time! BUT you made me look..should have had more confidence in myself.. but I've been tricked so many times! So happy to hear her voice again Thank you

Couple of good songs on this album. This isn't my favorite.
Always liked edie... clean fresh and just plain nice on the ears, this is a solid album, too.
Quirky, original. I love her!
"Volcano" came out in 2003. Very, very good stuff. After a long gap between albums, it was worth the wait.

She married Paul Simon and had babies...she put out a single CD recently, maybe 3 years back...Bill might know.
She married Paul Simon and had babies... did a little music, but haven't heard much from her recently.
Always nice to hear this forgotten band...I knew some of the members..very talented bunch.
