Saw my reflection, covered in glass
How it reminds me of you
Broken like a vision, an unfinished season
Terror had struck me, but all I could see is your soft skin
And I wondered
Inside the workhouse, you mind your own business
And I had the courage of two
And as I requested a lapse in your presence
I couldn't think of anything important to say
So I wondered
When this day will end
Yeah, I wondered if we'd speak again.
Yeah, I wonder.

PURE GREATNESS.{#Notworthy}
For the sake of argument...I kinda prefer Pete Yorn's vocal tone and style over Eddie Vedder's. Both are good depending on what you're in the mood for I suppose. I like the mellowness of this tune.
RATHER BORING!

Vedder? No way, Jose. Eddie is much more powerful, from the gut, voice than Pete. Pete is much sweeter, hanging with the girlfriend, soulmate kind of sound.

How bout this? Pete Yorn is terrific and Eddie Vedder sucks balls! I absolutely love this song!!!{#Notworthy}

Yes, but better than Vedder somehow. Not that Vedder stinks... maybe just that I'm not tired of Yorn.

Whoa.  Me too.  I used to listen to Pete Yorn all the time, and never heard the similarity til this song.  The opening lines are a dead ringer for Eddie's voice.  Though, to be honest, this is not my favorite Pete Yorn sound and I will always prefer Eddie Vedder.

This is actually a very cool song. Not a lot of Pete Yorn I like but this is one. His Springsteen cover from a few years back is definitely another.
Another awesome cover I've heard him do live: The Smiths "Panic" in a slow unplugged kind of way. By the way - Turn of the Century is pretty cool, too. This album took a few listens before I got it.

Woah weird, same thing happened again.
I never can seem to get turned on by this guy, musically speaking I mean. His music seems so middle of the road. I give it a five.

I inadvertently saw Pete Yorn at this small dive in Birmingham, AL. I was there to see the band Ours (freaking great band) and he was the "headliner". Man, seriously annoying music. I agree with one of the earlier posts...very whiny.
Good stuff. I prefer his first record, but this one is real good as well. Not the most trailblazing stuff, but it's well done.

OK so this guy serves to prove that the women (Amos, Morisette, DiFranco, etc.) have not cornered the market on annoying, whiney vocalizing.

I've had this cd in the car for the past week. Didn't listen to it all that much when it came out and just recently "rediscovered" it. Not nearly as good as his first one, but there are some excellent songs on it. "Burrito" is especially good. The live CD he is offering from his website now is very good as well.
I too love Pete Yorn. I love this song, in fact I don't think he's made a song I don't like. He has even better ones though. Murray is my personal favorite, off the first album. Play more, Bill!
YAY!! Love the Pete Yorn! more, more, more...
