Many a hand has scaled the grand old face of the plateau
Some belong to strangers, and some to folks you know
Holy ghosts and talk show hosts are planted in the sand
To beautify the foothills, and shake the many hands
There's nothing on the top but a bucket and a mop
And an illustrated book about birds
You see a lot up there but don't be scared
Who needs action when you got words
When you've finished with the mop then you can stop
And look at what you've done
The plateau's clean no dirt to be seen
And the work it was fun
There's nothing on the top but a bucket and a mop
And an illustrated book about birds
You see a lot up there but don't be scared
Who needs action when you got words
Well the many hands began to scan around for the next plateau
Some say it was in Greenland, and some say Mexico
Others decided it was nowhere except for where they stood
But those were all just guesses, wouldn't help you if they could

Let's hear the original Meat Puppets version!
This is an amazingly good album! I'm not a huge Nirvana fan, but the performance was excellent. This is by no means the best cut on the album, but still very good.
I think Dave is so, much, far better(musically) without Kurt around. Not that Nirvana is bad but Foo is soo good. I tend to like bands led by drummers, though Dave is not drumming in his own band.
This isn't my favorite track on the album, but this is a great album. I think it's probably more satisfying if you've actually seen the MTV Unplugged show that this came from. It really seemed to capture the spirit of Kobain. I still miss him... why oh why couldn't it have been Courtney instead?
Listening to early/mid 90s rock makes me long for a time when I could turn on a local rock FM station and have a reasonable chance of hearing something that wasn't utter crap.
No, not good. Not good at all. Bad, actually. Quite bad.
This is truly awful.
whoever put a microphone in front of this man should never be allowed near microphones again. ugh.

Ted Nugent the greatest American moron? Oh I don't think so. We have so many greater morons than Ted. He is only slightly moronic compared to some!

Listening to Nirvana unplugged -- to quote that great American philosopher Ted Nugent -- "is like going to a whorehouse with your dick in traction." I liked Nirvana, but only because they were a loud screechy rock band with an uncanny sense of melody, not because they were virtuoso musicians. I do agree with the comment however, about their choice of cover tunes.

Love it.

What to think of Shocking Blue's Love Buzz?!

Great remake of a Meat Puppets song! (Hoping for plenty of obscure reference points, hope I got it right)
