i radio heaven
i get mixed signals
i move the antenna
i switch the channels
i lie in this bed
my satellite dish
is there room in the universe
for one last wish
(i say)

do you read me
over
you wanna come
over

i guess i never told you
'bout this life i'm livin'
it's heaven versus hell
in a split decision
this secret religion is
the best that i've found
i radio heaven
when no one's around
(i say)
do you need me
over
you wanna come
over

this song is grinning
go on and undress it
it's just the beginning
go on and possess it
you're no longer a child now
don't let them molest it
the wound is deep
i'm just trying to confess it

the truth is i bleed you
when these frequencies cut me
i'm a slut with a mission
a singular vision
i radio heaven
i get mixed signals
i move the antenna
i switch the channels

i radio heaven
i get mixed signals
i move the antenna
i switch the channels
i lie in this bed
my satellite dish
is there room in the universe
for one last wish

Incredibly underrated. Very original and with a 1920’s Berlin vibe.
They have produced such amazing stuff. Give them another chance...
I rate this song a solid "2".  Would rather not suffer through it again.

Interesting. I think she may be the female version of Thom Yorke.

Strange. I thought the same thing, and I absolutely hate Radiohead, but somehow I like this one.

I was going to post that this was recorded during Open Mike night at the insane asylum...but that's pretty much the same thing that UItraNurd wrote.

rsfc_carp, you can have all of my share of this song.
Clocks of coldplay says you're over the Rhine. Are you?
My eyebrows are pressed firmly down on my nose with this one. 1.
This is a one-listen song. Even my desk speakers are annoyed.
One of my favorite concerts on 11-11-11: Over the Rhine in Over the Rhine, Cincinnati!  Love them {#Cheers}
They are awesome in concert.

Caught my attention...in a good way.
This is a decent song. Fits right in with the RP playlist.

you got that right
It's nice to see that some singers don't let nasty little things like "words" get in the way of their wailing. This is a 1.

...with the distinct difference of little to no songwriting ability IMHO.
not sure about this...but curious to hear other songs.
Brilliant segué from Joni, you're a bloody genius Bill! I Radio Heaven Paradise!

Sounds like he stubbed his toe really badly...

It's great to hear Over the Rhine on RP! I didn't think they were very well know outside of the Cincinnati area.
i think you would be really surprised. I know for sure that they quite often play in Chicago and every year at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. I was clued into them by several friends from all over the country on another band's forum. These guys are awesome, singers, writers, people.

i kinda like her voice. something about it reminds me of lucinda williams.
Something about the begining that sounded like Concrete Blonde.
This woman has a passion. Solid 7
Admit it. You only play this because it's oh-so-close to I Radio Paradise.

Not my favorite song , but I hear so little of this band that its welcome. Better stuff is off: Eve Good Dog Bad Dog Patience (pimp)
I actually really like this album... I think there are many songs on it that are superior to this one... like those that actually have melodies. I have to admit that I find her voice quite sexy.
Aieeeee, uuuhhhh, bleeeh
Melodramatic and tortured can be cool if properly executed. I like this one.
I\'m glad RP introduced me to this band. Their Fairport Diary is one of my favourite songs at the moment and this one is another reason for getting to know them better.
Big Yawn!!!! :p
please remove this from the playlist.
