Baby, I've been waiting for you
Don't run away now
You've got nothing to lose
Baby, I feel so alone
And I need someone
To call my own

'Cause my love has just left me
And I need someone new
Who can tell me forever
And my eyes are on you

Baby, oh baby, oh baby
Come to me

Baby, I've been waiting on you
Don't run away now
You've got nothing to lose
Baby, I feel so alone
And I need someone
To call my own

When your brain predicts "Come to Me" by Koop as "Avalon" by Roxy Music is winding down, does that mean you're consuming too much RP?

Probably. But I ain't going anywhere.

Same mix 5 years later. Sad!
Why oh why did I suddenly get the feeling the Christmas music on repeat cycle had started ... again earlier than ever?

Yeah - and maybe time to ditch this set list?  Unpredictability is the reason I like radio.
Two great albums from Koop
received this on my birthday - fun to listen to while driving through Boston on a no-traffic-jam morning!

You're absolutely positive it's not Eydie Gorme singing'...?-)

Not too many contemporary songs feature a trombone solo, but it seems to work well for this group.

concur. if I was thinkin lots would hear my list... would rock that shit with multiple shifts worth, duh.

I was really annoyed by this song but never actually listened to it other than at a low level in the echo-y hotel lobby.  Now that I hear it on RP I realize that it's actually enjoyable.  I like the vocals.  I definitely cringed the first time I heard it on here but I'm glad that RP was able to "fix" this song for me!

Yes that's true from what I've read.

This has always reminded me of a Bert Kaempfert method of arranging, which is not a bad thing at all.
(Wonder if the late Stingray will castigate me again?!)
SONG BUILT ON TOP OF LOWREY ORGAN AUTO RHYTHM.......
when I hit PSD RP plays the new song OVER the old song, yikes! have to close out of RP and then re-open. Are we only allowed a certain number of PSD's?
Music from Sweden!

Bill, Keep this in your rotation.  It is very uplifting.  Dont' know why I like it so much.  Probably goes back to something I was doing when I first heard it (which was here on RP).

Got a Motown video to it. Swing it!

Wow. Gave this an 8 straight out of the box.
I'm sure the way you feel about this is highly dependent on your mood when it hits you. The timing simply was perfect for me.

yup!

Now that is one great story. Shows your open minded even about music that was ruined for you in the worst of ways (being forced to listen repeatedly to ANYthing is a form of torture to me, as I'm pretty much unable to block music out.)
Thanks for sharing !

Always loved this track. Helps to get through late part of work day.
This is just fabulous when the volume is way, way up !!!

An 8.49 IMHO !

Another brilliant Radio Paradise transition.  Glenn Miller (In the mood) to this.

Love it. Have recently gotten into Koop in a big way thanks to RP.
This song sure gets a lot of play.
2006 version of Doris Day. Which we used to like. Back in the day, that is.
Handy link if you click on ''Artist Website'' Bill and Rebecca seem to be advertising another online Radio Sation lol {#Arrowl}
nice transition!

{#Drummer}

This is why I finally abandoned classic rock.

I am bumping this to a 7.49.
LOVE the trombone and bass in this song.

To me, this is a quintessentially summer song — I hope everyone in the Southern hemisphere is enjoying it today!

HEY!  Is that Romeotuma's hotel room in the video?
One of the first songs I heard for the first time on Radio Paradise that hooked me for good. Rated it 9 then and it's only improved with time.

Edit: The video is GREAT! Yukimi Nagano reminds me of Satine + China Doll (Nicole Kidman and Natalie Mendoza characters) in "Moulin Rouge" (2001); makes this good song even better.

I love this entire C.D.

This song has even less depth ever time I hear it. Catchy, fun and not much more. Still a good listen.
Yes!  I was trying to remember where it was from... both the ad and the song make my day :)

Know exactly whatcha mean. I get so sick of that "boring" comment. Loosely translated it means "I'm too lazy to actually listen to the song".

If I did, then RP seems to have eliminated every trace of it.
The songs have a very similar feeling, though, it's easy to confuse the two.

It sounds like it was made to uplift the spirits during the battle of Britain and hasn't aged in almost 70 years.

It ain't no "Summer Sun", but a nice new tune. . .

So how does the "jury" rate this Fred?

Oh, it's a good 7 from the Nottingham jury, with possible increments in the future. This is the sort of fun song that can grow on me :o)

God, is this ever fun.  Next to purchase.  Thanks, RP!
For a moment I was petrified it was Mambo No. 5. Then the vocals started, and I was okay.

But now I fear it has been tainted in my mind by the Bega. All I'm hearing now is a little bit of Monica, et al.

This song is my phone's ringtone. Got me fooled for a minute... {#Bounce}

Il faut simplement poser le question à M. Google... !

"Baby, I've been waiting for you
Don't run away now
You've got nothing to lose
Baby, I feel so alone
And I need someone
To call my own
'Cause my love has just left me
And I need someone new
Who can tell me forever
In my eyes I own you (?)
Baby, oh baby, oh baby
Come to me
Baby, I've been waiting on you
Don't run away now
You've got nothing to lose
Baby, I feel so alone
And I need someone
To call my own
'Cause my love has just left me
And I need someone new
Who can tell me forever
In my eyes I own you (?)
Baby, oh baby, oh baby
Come to me"

C'est un autre exemple d'une chanson de Koop qui semble d'être très heureuse, mais qui est, en fait, très triste...! Mais je l'adore!!

Just what I needed. Makes me happy.

This whole album is amazing, I was actually listening to this all weekend and on into this morning.  Killer tracks.
Love this bouncy catchy tune. I played it in the pub last week. Everyone wanted to know who it was.
I should hate this song, but - damn - my toes keep tapping....{#Bounce}

Bouncing off Avalon, as it does, tends to improve the attraction.

Great tune, either way.

No.
dump this pabulum! good thing I haven't eaten lunch!!
Sounds to me like this could be straight from a 1940's big production movie sound track. Nice mix.
so sweet
Yukimi Nagano, the singer on this track, has become my latest favorite. Check out her band Little Dragon for some deep, soulful vibes. NOthing like the perky peppy pop of this track (click here)
Saw these guys play at Katalin last week. Great stuff, though they were a bit unsure in the start. This being their fourth live session. One reason is that they are two DJs making their tracks with pure sampling. Add a singer and they have complete song. So for each live session they have to scrounge up session musicians and whatever singer they have handy. =) This evenings singer was Hilde Louise Asbjörnsen
This is the kind of stuff that makes this station so great along with all the more traditionla stuff.

I'm getting there too. What's the story with the singer? Her voice is so gorgeous. But Koop, like Yello, seem to use different singers for each song, correct?

Geez, I was ready to bail on RP due to this song, but after reading the below comments I will give this song another try...
