Too much Talking Heads. Quirky? Yes. Some catchy hooks? Yes.  Kitschy? Sure. 

 But not much more than that to justify all the air time they get.   
I also agree that the Talking Heads and Byrne is a little overplayed...

I like the Talking Heads and all, but being that there is so much music out there, and David Byrne's less than soothing voice, once or twice a day is enough.

They all switched instruments on this song.  No one played what they normally play.  I've said before this song makes me smile, makes me cry and all inbetween.  It is one of few songs that are perfectly done.  Just my opinion...

just saw David Byrne last night in Boston.  The show was one of the best choreographed performance I've seen and the music was outstanding.  He played a lot of Heads stuff.  See it if you can.

I've always been a 'Heads fan. Saw them a few times in the early days before they took off. I dunno if you had to live it to get it, but it probably helped.

Some never 'got' the 'Heads. They were a unique band that plowed up real new ground with their first four records.

That clown thing...a semi-weird 'Heads fan might ask: why are you so weird? lol  {#Wink}
I like repetitive music if the groove is good, but this groove does nothing for me I'm afraid....
I think all about this song is the perfectly clean mix and the immediately identifiable voice of David, the lack of pretention and the risky way to play detuned instruments that could have made the song be a total failure, but they didn't. TH have that sense of building a memorable groove out of appearently simple chords and without technical tricks. Great song in the midtime of a quiet dancing party.

A while back the theme was Beatles covers, which doesn't sound very interesting but he dug out some amazing tracks from around the world that really made it mesmerizing. The fact that they all began with a song that I was familiar with helped. Of course I'm no "beatles purist" who wails and moans anytime someone does a cover.
