I have the house to myself for a few days. I almost never play music from my speakers because it is disturbing. I am playing this song for the first time on a set of decent speakers. What a difference!!
Looking through the comments below, I understand that many of my fellow RP denizens simply don't feel the Radiohead vibe. That's fair. But for me, and likely many other based on the extent of the 10's, I have to say that this track is a heart breaker. It doesn't require perfect tone, cause when you've spent a day or two in that special ward with the glass observation windows...you know how this song feels. So, maybe you should be happy that it doesn't make you quietly choke up...cause you've never been there...

This whole album is fantastic. I like a few other Radiohead songs from other albums (fewer recently) but THIS album is on par with dark Side of the Moon as far as I'm concerned. The album should be listened to straight through a few times to really appreciate how cohesive it is.

I always felt like Ok Computer was a breakthrough album in 1997, the rare and unique sound that jumped out and held its ground above everything else being recorded over a period of time.

I can't believe I didn't have this rated. I don't know that there's a track on this album that would belong below an 8, maybe even 9...
Love the lazy drawl. Love the clever way the melody snakes its way through the verse.
The chorus is just not as strong as it might be, but the backing vocals in the final one make up for it.

This song outside of the rest of the album is just "Ok," but in the context of the rest of the album, it is truly "Ok Computer!"

Dude, comparing anyone to Pink Floyd is pointless. I agree. I absolutely love Floyd. Radiohead shouldn't have to be compared to them. They should be compared to the bands of their era the same as Floyd is to theirs..

Actually, only "clueless" was directed at me, but I went after the others too. I'm on this mission because, of all places, the RP comments pages should be a place where you can say whatever you want, without the risk of personal attacks.
I find your "move on" comment kind of ironic —- you're doing a bit of "hanging around" too, so one could query from whence the odor is actually emanating.
I suppose I could say something like, "Well, really the smell in the elevator comes from the sh*t for brains that some of these pedantic Radiohead fans have, and if I was them I'd be really embarrassed", but that would be stooping to your level.
As you can see, any monkey can hurl insults. In adult discourse, that doesn't happen.
In the RP context, I would suggest that people with "dignity" could reasonably be expected to restrict their comments to the music and not other listeners. That has been my point since the very beginning, and something that apparently has been lost on you.
