We got some rules to follow
That and this, these and those
No one knows

We got these pills to swallow
How they stick in your throat
Taste that gold
Oh what you do to me
Yes, no one knows

A journey through the desert
Of the night with no hope
I follow

I drift along the ocean
Dead life boat in the sun
And come undone
Pleasantly caving in
I come undone

I realize your mind
Indeed a fool am I
I realize your mind
Indeed a fool am I
Am I

Heaven smiles above me
What a gift here belong
But no one knows
The gift that you give to me, yea
No one knows

I have the album. And a very sad story:

"Vanessa Goss Bley, 34, daughter of famed late jazz pianist Paul Bley and artist Carol Goss, Cherry Valley, was killed Friday in a three vehicle accident in Santa Barbara County, Calif.

Also killed in the wreck were two children, who are yet unidentified, according to Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s officials."

Bley died in a tragic car accident in 2019... https://www.soultracks.com/sto...

It's OK but a good example of some of the sub-par material that's made its way on to the RP playlist lately.

I think the fresh influx has been good - there has always been a small proportion of material on RP that is not to my taste but I don't think the balance has changed particularly over time.   It would be remarkable if every new addition only added to the part of the catalogue you liked.  Taste is a subjective thing, nothing to do with 'par'.
wonderfull jazz rendition of the original, a cover as covers should be imho
mannnn hear that sax fly, all the little details, outstanding

Very different than the original, but sounds nice.

Awful cover.

I agree, but the song is pretty decent!

Enjoyable, fun to come across, but everyone knows the original is unbeatable :)
Beuatiful jazzy cover of my favorite!

This frustrating cover makes me want to listen to the original!
