Light on the street, keep me blind
Sand on my feet, you're running me out of town
Out of my mind
Thousands of leaves, they bury me under her eyes
Mild breeze is telling me it's not my time
She's not mine

So day by day, I'll turn my dreams
Into a ministry, a ministry, a ministry of her love
Day by day, I'll turn my dreams
Into a ministry, a ministry, a ministry of her love

I'm lost in the sea of sweet design
Smoke that I breathe awakens me and she's divine
But she's not mine

So day by day, I'll turn my dreams
Into a ministry, a ministry, a ministry of her love
Day by day, I'll turn my dreams
Into a ministry, a ministry, a ministry of her love

Heaven up above, may lift my thoughts of you
Hand that touched the earth
Make me lovely and touch me, too
Make me crystal pure, cast my heart anew

So day by day, I'll turn my dreams
Into a ministry, a ministry, a ministry of her love
Day by day, I'll turn my dreams
Into a ministry, a ministry, a ministry of her love

It's up to 7.5 and I just gave it an 8, so the moving average is moving on up!
i love everything this woman does, she's one of the best musicians working right now.

Samesies. Was racking my brain trying to remember their song "Karen O."
This song holds up really well over the years.

Still a solid 10.
i just heard this yesterday here or the day before. but, that's ok. i do love some karen o.

Believe it or not, but REALLY early Ministry actually has a lot more in common with this song that with Jesus Built my Hotrod!
Ear Candy
The more I listen to this the better it gets. Started off as a 7, moved to an 8, and now a 9. Bought the album - excellent!
Wow, I love that part, in the middle there, where she gets so intense and breathy and reaches in and grabs my reptile brain and pets it; damn, that's good! Easy 10
Nice.
Thought it was Keren Ann, at first.
GOOD TUNE!!

Hey, it's the interweb... Grumblers are gonna grumble. Take heart from the (now) 7.5 rating. Most folk love the song

Makes me want to invade and occupy Korea and take all the bright and creative Koreans for ourselves.   Gotta move early on these kinds of initiatives.

Then we will ESG north Korea into a burgeoning version of South Korea and take all the talent from that country.

Neo-Viking constructive engagement (well, perhaps not the invasion and occupation bit) will win over the North in no time.

Why?   I doubt Canada can feasibly invade and occupy the USA even if maybe 40% of the population would welcome such an initiative.

Well, Canada does keep looking better and better as an option!

So now I'm wondering, did Dangermouse steal Kiwanuka's guitar pedals, or the other way round? (kidding of course)

I"m not a big Billy Eyelash fan, but I don't see any comparison, or impetus for one.

Good Bot.
RP - great when new is blended with the old

Though production is by far not as poor as in that case. Looks like, if you have limited skills, you keep the best for your own stuff...
This just comes off as a 10. Dreamy, floating, semi-lucid...

'Ministry' is the song title.
Karen O & Danger Mouse the artist(s).

How can you tell?
Still. So good. Her voice so French sounding. Squeeze your ears tight, at the beginning & it IS French. All the rest is some dreamy movie scene.
Mans, this just sound better and better and better....

Always channel this song to the love of my life, who passed away way too young for me to share it with her.
Gawd I love this song!

Whilst this was by far the best track off this album is was still worth the CD purchase. It comes with a really bad ass poster!

I suggest battered and deep fried... or maybe a good dipping sauce.

Jesus Built My Hot Rod is an amazing song, I've just gone to You Tube to remind myself how much I love it!
Wunderbarer Song. Habe mir aufgrund dieses Stücks das Album gekauft (übrigens extrem hübsch daher kommendes Vinyl-Album) und auch der Rest der Platte lohnt sich zu hören.
I really like it. I'm not looking for potential similarities with other songs, I don't care. I just listen to it and I think it's good...that's it!
 DippingSauce wrote:

Sounds like a challenge that @BillG CANNOT let go...besides, you've got dipping sauces to help swallow whatever sort of hat you'll be eating whenever a Ministry tune is played.
LLRP!!
Perfect, seamless  segue from Morcheeba Over and Over into this one, Bill.  Kudos to the master!
Cool how they start with a slo-mo version of Simon and Garfunkel's "The Boxer". The rest of the 7.5 rating seems driven by the Wikipedia photo of the girl, lol. Come on, you know it's true. Otherwise a 6.

She grew up here in lovely New Jersey. Don't know what else to say to this.
Channeling the cosmic frequency for chill vibes and mellow moods. TY RP!
I hear hints of Broken Bells' Leave it Alone.  Danger Mouse in the house!

I like his work with Broken Bells and this tune but yeah, it feels like he is repeating his formula with every artist.

the transition fromthe National ‘anyone’s ghost’ to this was outstanding. Thoroughly enjoyed it

I like Dangermouse, but that's a fair criticism, I think. There is no joy in Dangermouse whatsoever.
Nice & glid- ie stuff. Excellent.

Thanks for reminding me about that great, bonkersmad track. I actually stepped out of RP for a couple of minutes to refresh my memory on that one. WOOOOOAAAAAARRRRGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Yeah, though if he ever does it would probably be something like their cover of Bob Dylan's "Lay Lady Lay" (off their album Filth Pig).  That would be soooo RP...

Probably not very likely to hear here.
This gets better and better on subsequent listens.

Silky, down tempo, techno-ambient, ...., whatever, great emotional, head tune-up.
What an amazing morning of music today, and that's just so far!!
Thank you!!
Nice to hear new music!

Compelling.  Nah, just sweet.
