Life is bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
The distance in your eyes
Oh no, I've said too much
I set it up
That's me in the corner
That's me in the spotlight
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do it
Oh no I've said too much
I haven't said enough
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try
Every whisper
Of every waking hour
I'm choosing my confessions
Trying to keep an eye on you
Like a hurt lost and blinded fool
Oh no, I've said too much
I set it up
Consider this
The hint of the century
Consider this
The slip that brought me
To my knees failed
What if all these fantasies
Come flailing around
Now I've said too much
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try
But that was just a dream
That was just a dream
That's me in the corner
That's me in the spotlight
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do it
Oh no I've said too much
I haven't said enough
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try
But that was just a dream, try, cry, why, try
That was just a dream, just a dream, just a dream
Dream
It's bigger than you

What key is that? Maybe B#?
funny :)
This is on the border of awful. It might have been good if it was actually re-recorded but this is just the original run through some digital processing, and it shows.
This is the second time I've heard this song in this key.
I'm never going to hear this song properly again.
Pretty sure it's ruined.

Yes !
wow, that's so weird!
Completely different key, rather, different scale.
Sounds more positive and upbeat than the original, but sort of lacks the impact.
Totally screwing with my brain though!
EDIT: Ahh, ok, no I know why it's so damn odd - digitally messed with. You can hear it in the voice in places, un-natural sounding.

This is a f***ing brave version of a hit previously turned trivial by media. Michael Stipe is a brave man that deserves respect for this work. And more than that, he deserves to be respected for challenging that media. Hats off!
Come On people it's not that bad - I liked it.
It's good to hear different mixes on the radio.

Isn't this just the strangest!!! Saw this on the net and it just blew my mind.
The worst thing.... I keep trying to sing the major version when I listen to the original now. Sure hope I haven't ruined this song for myself forever !

Though this is truly interesting...it's not desirable. A good lesson in major and minor keys and chords. It surely makes me desire the original version. A good tool in creating desire to the original recording. Just kinda weird. Interesting though.

I thought I had lost my mind at first........this is frickin WEIRD. It's messing with my Inner Rainman.
Definitely not.....DEFINITELY not the right version of this song........yeah.........97X....BAM!...the Future of Rock and Roll. Course it's 10 minutes to Woppner.
Interesting. All the minor chords are gone. changed it to major chords.

This made me laugh. Don't want to hear it a lot, but I'm glad I heard it once.
Why does this sound so, er um - for lack of a better description...... - icky, off, strange, uncomfortable........
These guys definitely have a sense of humor!
AAAARRRRGHHH!!!!!!
Ahhhh! Run for the hills! This version is awful...
This version totally weird's me out... It's not natural.
I like minor key music.
It evokes darkness and seriousness to me versus lightness and poppiness.
Glad the original was in a minor key.
One of the greatest songs ever.

Now that I've heard this version I keep singing it this way in my head, and can't even remember the key of the original song, even though I've heard it hundreds of times! Weird.
Interesting. True, the conversion isn't perfect, but should anybody have spent more time on this?
Glad I heard it... once. ;-)

It's been reworked in the major of the key—so it sounds slightly off. This is apparently the original that has been digitally reprocessed; but how do you leave everything else alone while changing a couple of notes a chord to transform a minor scale into a major scale? hahaha...I thought I was losing it. Honestly. I must have replayed it like three times wondering if my hearing was going. I couldn't wrap my head around the change until the final notes. Strange. Not a fan.
i must be coming down with a head cold.
I can say it was a good idea to do this, but not well accomplished...
Hmmmm... yuck... turns it into Muzak...
it sounds like one of the stereo channels is missing or something. a bit disorienting.
this is a MAJOR boost to my morning. thanks for keeping it fresh, bill!!
I feel kind of drunk now...
Saw this yesterday, errr heard this yesterday. It's in a major vs. the original minor key. Shinny happy people version.
Some is missing! Truly weird!
Minor key?

Sounds like A major
