It's just plain wrong that this song hasn't played since July 05. This tune is a good example of how subtle changes in instrumentaion bring a new dimension to the Stripes, without altering how underlyingly simple the song is. Play it again RP.
"they totally are ripping off led zepplin III on this one and it is just as noisy as led zepplin."
i can see how this album may disappoint people b/c it is not your typical white stripes. i think this is great album from them. by far it is not there best b/c they have had so many unbelievable ones already, but it is a very transtitional album. i think everyone should give them more credit. they could have played it way safe like coldplay and just reproduced their last album, but they didn't.
I really like this song - it's so unlike anything else I've heard. They're doing their own thing, living life a little differently - good for them.
2. Noise to my ears.

I'm comfortable saying that I wholeheartedly agree with you :nodhead:

ouch? an average rating of a 4...that might be the worst ive ever seen on RP.
i'm at least giving it a 5! heh
gah, on second thought, it gets a 3...too much noise

The cover says they are way too impressed with themselves, and this song just reinforces that.
Nothing wrong with screwing around in the studio, but to think anyone else would be interested shows a bit too much ego.
I had to rate this a 10 not because I want to hear it more often, but to show appreciation to a work of art that masterfuly draws you in to it's universe.
The White Stripes embody everything positive about the adventurous and progressive spirit of Radio Paradise! More please! One can never get enough white Stripes!
A curiousity, this. I can't dismiss it just yet. It may emerge quite listenable.
They really ressemble Drew Barrymore and Johnny Depp on this album cover, imo.

so it deliberately sucks? OK
Uh, no.

i don't care what any of you say, i love the white stripes!
total disregard of timekeeping...total lack of talent
this really needs to go far, far away from RP land...
"Ok let's pretend we're experimenting we're on strike... the white strike."
:D
not a fan of this one. i just don't like anything about this, really.
For a minute I thought it was that horrible Bright Eyes kid again. Although relieved to see it wasn't, still the song never did get good.
Funny, as the song went on and on, the rating got lower and lower. If it were a 1 minute song, it might have been a 5.
Every time it seemed like it was about to 'take off', it continued with more crap.
A 2 at best.
Okay I haven't heard it all the way thru but I think this might stink. But the but the possibility of Godliness is lurking there.
Anybody else reminded of the theme music from "Rugrats" or is it just me? It's just that xylophone bit that does it.
...I usually like Jangly, but this is almost too jangly...

The nurse should not be the one who puts salt in your wounds
But it's always with trust that the poison is fed with a spoon
When you're helpless with no one to turn to alone in your room
You would swear that the one who would care for you never would leave
She promised and said, "you will always be safe here with me"
But promises open the door to be broken to me
No I'm never, no I'm never, no I'm never gonna let you down now
No I'm never, no I'm never, no I'm never gonna let you down
No I'm never, no I'm never, no I'm never gonna let you down now
No I'm never, no I'm never, no I'm never gonna let you down
The maid that you've hired could never conspire to kill
She's to mother, not quietly smother you when you're most ill
The one that you're trusting suspiciously dusting the sill
No I'm never, no I'm never, no I'm never gonna let you down now
No I'm never, no I'm never, no I'm never gonna let you down
No I'm never, no I'm never, no I'm never gonna let you down now
No I'm never, no I'm never, no I'm never gonna let you down
