Trudging slowly over wet sand
Back to the bench where your clothes were stolen
This is a coastal town
That they forgot to close down
Armagedon - come armagedon come armagedon come
Everyday is like Sunday
Everyday is silent and grey
Hide on a promanade
Etch on a post card:
How I dearly wish I was not here
In the seaside town
That they forgot to bomb
Come, come nuclear bomb!
Everyday is like Sunday
Everyday is silent and grey
Trudging back over pebbles and sand
And a strange dust lands on your hands
(and on your face)
Everyday is like Sunday
"win yourself a cheap tray"
Share some grease tea with me
Everyday is silent and grey
Back to the bench where your clothes were stolen
This is a coastal town
That they forgot to close down
Armagedon - come armagedon come armagedon come
Everyday is like Sunday
Everyday is silent and grey
Hide on a promanade

Love 10,000 Maniacs. For this track, I prefer the original and The Pretenders version.
That vocal delivery sounds more like everyday is like a Monday O_o

I like this version better than the original, tbph
This should be written down, recorded, typeset, printed and bound, published, distributed, reviewed, summarized, excerpted, anthologized, widely-disseminated, taught in schools, and discussed on talk shows as an archetypal example of a bad idea. Future generations will listen and wonder.
too mediocre
Mediocre song (compared to the rest of Morrissey's catalogue).
Sung in a mediocre manner.
Goes to show you how good a song it is that it can stand up to this lackluster cover.
Natalie, I like you, but just back away from other people's music.
What a lack of passion. I liked In My Tribe, and just about nothing else by them or her after that.
Have a coffee, Natalie. Try again when you're awake, hon.
God, this wretched woman again. What a forgettable version of a decent song...

Surprisingly, I have to agree. This just doesn't do anything for me.
This had the makings of a misfire, but Natalie pulls it off here. Nice.

Wonder if you like The Pretenders' version?

Ugh.
Please add more Smiths/Morrissey instead...
