Take a bow, pack gun powder
Wash 'em out with buzzing lights
Pay an audience to care
Impress me personality
Still and transfixed
The electric sheep are dreaming of your face
Enjoyment from the chemical
Comfort of America
Come one, come all
Into 1984
Yeah, three, two, one
Lights! Camera! Transaction!
Quick, your time is almost up
Make all forget that they're the moth
Edging in, towards the flame
Burning into obscurity
Still and transfix
The electric sheep are dreaming up your fate
And judge you from the guard castle
Comfort of America
Come one, come all
Into 1984
Yeah, three, two, one
Lights! Camera! Yeah
Come one, come all
Into 1984
Yeah, three, two, one
Lights! Camera! Transaction!
Lights! Camera! Transaction!
Come one, come all
Into 1984
Yeah, three, two, one
Lights! Camera! Transaction!
The foundation is canyoning
Fault lines should be worn with pride
I hate to say
You're so much more
You're so much more
Enduring with the sound turned off
Wash 'em out with buzzing lights
Pay an audience to care
Impress me personality
Still and transfixed

As an owner of many Inc albums, this song is still ho-hum no matter what. Better tracks abound, but would be too hard for this station.
joe jackson?

I seem to be in the minority on this, but I liked this album, and this song, better than a lot of the earlier material, which tacked towards 311, in a derivative sense... The new material on Crow i thought was much more mature and a welcomed departure (at least to me). I felt the same way about the latest Chili Peppers album in that it too was more mature than the old work, and I enjoyed this new approach as well, unlike the majority of RP listeners, sad to say.
Count me in with you. I surprised with so many low ratings......

I really like these guys. Subtle surprises. Lots of reaching and stretching.
woah ... i\'ve never heard incubus on RP.
not my thing.

This was a great song the first five thousand times I heard in the summer of 2004.
I'm not sure why there is so much backlash to this song, but I like it with some reservations. (6)
Joe Jackson, is that you?
Everyone's got an opinion...
The songwriting of this band has definitely suffered recently and albums like S.C.I.E.N.C.E and Fungus are their best work, but not all of their mellow music is deserving of such harsh criticism. Morning View is a great album all in all.
"Real" aficionados always want to pick on anything remotely commercial or remotely different from a band's earlier work before they went "corporate"
Granted not their best work but deserves more than this rating.
...there's mine
Man, this is a funny choice. I play in a hard rock band and we cover a lot of their older material... an earlier poster mentioned they topped out on their album Science and I agree. You would have a hard time believing this was the same band.
I love Incubus!
For me Incubus is one of the best rock bands ever cause for every album I needed several months to start liking and then loving it. They're just great.
If someone were to ask me if I liked Incubus, I'd tell 'em "heck naw." But every time I hear one of their tracks, I think to myself "well, that ain't so bad."
Underrated by the scenester group think, IMO.

Yawn.
squared.
This band has gone steadily downhill.
SCIENCE is better than every other album they've released by a factor of 10. And no, I'm not saying this because I'm a hardcore junkie, I'm saying it because they only have one solid album.
Bits and pieces of more recent albums are good... this song is not an example.

Reminds me of Toad the Wet Sprocket without all that songwriting talent, singing, musicianship, genius baggage.
New title proposal: "This Song on Mute". Works for me.

That's why I don't listen to local radio. :D
not nearly as good as it pretends to be.
Sounds like Joe Jackson at times...
A 6.
nope. ho hum bordering on marginal.

I'm such a dork - my iTunes somehow moved off the RP feed and was playing from my library - That was Handsome Family I was listening. Jeez.

Yes, I do hear Joe Jackson.
But enough of the sensitive singer songwriter shite.
I'm much too caustic in my commentary right now, and I need something hard or funky to break me out of it.

Bingo. Similar arrangements too.
Yep... pretty marginal stuff; --d

Me too, and Toad the Wet Sprocket with the guitar and drums. Pretty good tune.
down goes the volume...

This song is so boring and talentless!
There are too many cookie-cutter bands lately that involve no-pitch-having, droaning-moaning-depressed-sounding young males who only know 4 chords!

sounds like everyone else in the current state of music.

Hagus, Mutton, Tripe & Head Cheese casserole.
I like Incubus very much, but this song isn't the best one from this album.
Better ones are f.e. Pislota or Smile Lines or Here in my Room

Take it from an old music aficionado who appreicates the likes of early Genisis, Gentle Giant, Yes, Tull, Pink Floyd, Wild Turkey, Camel, and nameless others, this is the best musicians of the new generation. These guys are incredibly talented, although this is not one of my favorite albums. Matter of fact, my 18 year old son and I are going to see them in October.
loving it still...
excellent album.

Indeed, another pop band taking themselves way too seriously, IMHO. They give me a "we-decided-to-be-revolutionaries-because-we-thought-it-would-get-us-chicks" feeling. Sadly, it seems to be working.
two awful back to back songs.
