Mike Oldfield — To France
Taking on water, sailing a restless sea
From a memory, a fantasy
The wind carries into white water
Far from the islands
Don't you know you're...
Never going to get to France
Mary Queen of Chance will they find you
Never going to get to France
Could a new romance ever bind you
Walking on foreign ground like a shadow
Roaming in far off territory
Over your shoulder stories unfold
You're searching for sanctuary
You know you're...
Never going to get to France
Mary Queen of Chance will they find you
Never going to get to France
Could a new romance ever bind you
I see a picture
By the lamp's flicker
Isn't it strange how
Dreams fade and shimmer
Never going to get to France
Mary Queen of Chance will they find you
Never going to get to France
Could a new romance ever bind you
I see a picture
By the lamp's flicker
Isn't it strange how
Dreams fade and shimmer
Never going to get to France
Mary Queen of Chance will they find you
Never going to get to France
Could a new romance ever bind you
Never going to get to France
Never going to...

One of the best songs ever...
Seems like this song hasn't been played for a long time on RP! I cannot be objective with this one: I've always loved this song. The voice of Maggie Reilly is still wonderful...
I've never heard this song before but it sure sounds dated. Maybe I would have liked it 25 years ago but not now.
Kind of sad how yesteryear's cutting edge sounds like elevator music 21 years hence... Also, I was sure this song from Crises... Oh well
Fine enjoyable tune. I like this! :sunny.gif: :goodvibes.gif:

This is an FM radio staple here in Frahnce.
Tubular, dude....
My, isn't this awful.
Anyone who rhymes any of the words dance, France, romance, and chance should have their poet's license immediately revoked.
