LMAO!!! Too Funny!!!

Are you insane?  You haven't been to North America in the last many years obviously. Since they reformed the laws back when I was a home brewer by necessity, all the microbreweries (now called "craft" beer) started growing like weeds. Now you can get all kinds of regional, hearty brews and many of them beat out Euro brews. Just sayin'. Trying to correct ignorance where it raises it's ugly head.

I can find some blues monotonous, but what you find stressful, I find driving and that is what keeps it from monotony for me. Peace.

Unfortunately no matter how much the Canadians thing there beer is better they still drink Labatt swill in a similar amount to Bud/Miller/Coors drinkers in the US drink.

This is where it all comes from. My woman keeps me cherry red. Royalties for R&R all belong here.

I have about 200 here in San Diego alone.  Love the choices now days but I still prefer my beer not to taste like flowers.
Mississippi Hill Country. I love it even better than delta.  Droning. Hypnotic.  There's a great video of Dave Stewart from The Eurythmics sitting on RL's porch playing this riff with him.

True, and I love Canadian craft beers, but next time you're in the LCB, watch how many eejits walk out with cases of Bud, Coors Lite, all that crap. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink decent beer.

LISTEN UP, FOLKS!

Bill is playin' the real stuff now!

APPLAUSE from Germany!
This song convinces me that RLB is in the line of the true great ones, legit descendant of Blind Lemon Jefferson on through Lightnin Hopkins and all the rest.
Can't beat a bit of R.L. Burnside.

Apparently John Lee Hooker made everyone wanna play the guitar!

from the wiki (emphasis mine):

"Burnside was born in Harmontown, Mississippi, in Lafayette County. He spent most of his life in North Mississippi, working as a sharecropper and a commercial fisherman, as well as playing guitar at weekend house parties. He was first inspired to pick up the guitar in his early twenties, after hearing the 1948 John Lee Hooker single, "Boogie Chillen" (which inspired numerous other rural bluesmen, among them Buddy Guy, to start playing). He learned music largely from Mississippi Fred McDowell, who lived nearby in an adjoining county. He also cited his cousin-in-law, Muddy Waters, as an influence."
Give me some scotch at Legends!
Check out Hillstomp's version of this song...

R.L. Burnside is cool! This is the first song in about a hour which really swings & rocks

It is all or nothing these days. Either it is the blue pom pons or the red. Love them or hate them, no live and let, ahem die, I mean live. We, they. Okay, I'll stop now. I hope we see the days like the 90's where optimism was not a dirty word and the end of a culture which has deified fear. Morrison was okay too. Peace
Ain't nothin' like the real thing.

One of the few artists that left this Earth that I will miss, and didn't get to see. Along with Gatemouth, we lost a lot the past year or so. Rock on, RL

Great song, excellent album, and it sounds even better on phonograph What a segue, though. Going from LA Woman to this one makes for quite the rush..

I think it's a shame that so many of these old Blues musicians contributed so VERY much to music (not just inspiration and style, but a lot of material that was copied with no credit at all) and got so VERY little in return.
Yes, but therefore its contributed to stocks and hedgefonds after having fired the employees... perfect world, isnt it ??

Beware the boogie! Whiplash to the bottle-neck. Quite nearly perfect. Hootin' and hollerin' all the way, and that's bad, indeed it is. Baddest.
