Don't tell your man what you don't do right,
Nor tell him all the things that make you cry,
But check yourself for your own shame,
And don't be making out like it's all his.
Take a look around the world,
You see such bad things happening,
There are many good men,
Ask yourself, is he one of them?
The deadliest of sin is pride
Make you feel like you're always right,
But there are always two sides
It takes two to make love, two to make a life.
Take a look around the world,
You see such mad things happening.
There are few good men,
Thank your lucky stars that he's one of them.
Nor tell him all the things that make you cry,
But check yourself for your own shame,
And don't be making out like it's all his.
Take a look around the world,
You see such bad things happening,

Winner! World's most boring song!
Never heard this before, I have two MA albums, but this was a surprise. Liking it. 8.
Smooth, cool groove there.
I'm having one now! where's the puke button!
Transition is good.

I kind of like this. Had to get up and see who it was. Lo and behold, MA,one of the most inconsistent sounding groups of all time.
I like few things from this band, and this is now one of them.

Yeah especially compared to previous albums where that nasally whinge was much more tempered. Not the best Massive Attack album by far.
Kind of whiny and annoying, no?

Massive Attack, Gomez, Yes, Peter Gabriel... RP got into my i-pod.

The best track from an otherwise humdrum album, imo.
Sinead got to the Massive Attack Guest Vocalist station too late.
7 easy!
Wierd..you are right..I feel motion sickness.thelester wrote:

Delicious
And here ends the string of 7's or higher...but 7 in a row is impressive. This tune just doesn't do much for me, positive or negative. Ergo, 5.
I find the CD cover highly disturbing.

Is it me, or does this band always have a creepy element in its songs? I admit that my experience with Massive Attack is limited to what I hear on RP, but it seems like every song I've heard of theirs has a dark, almost morbid feel to it that prevents me from enjoying it. Any thoughts?
Check out the Mad Professor's mixes of them and get back to me.

The train is comin, get on board.
I haven't listened to Massive Attack for ages. This song is really good!
I like Massive Attack-Sinead is pretty good too when she's just singing. ;-)

Just unbelievable that this throwaway MA track makes the playlist, but their brilliant Unfinished Sympathy (a genuine early 90s classic) doesn't.
I had to look for myself..but you're right! That seriously needs to be uploaded

I thought my cat was playing with the windchimes again...what was that?
SMMMmmoooooth transition from Gomez to this track! Thanks Bill!

I just don't understand how this track didn't make it onto their recent Greatest Hits package. Excellent vocals by Sinead O'Connor.
Agree with the negatives and the positives, except that I cannot make out the lyrics at all. I need this to put me to sleep effectively. For office work, NOT indicated!
Thanks for following up with a bit more of a wakey-uppy trend with Have a Cigar. I am afraid to do that, but I will let Pink Floyd smoke it for me.
great stuff - good lyrics
Pretty much doesn't matter what song of theirs you play, a mood is set.
Then adding Sinead just takes it to a whole new place.
hmmm... an element of primordial mood

The creepyness/suspense is part of that pigeonhole called trip-hop... Massive Attack & Tricky and to some extent Portishead show this. Morcheeba shows it on earlier albums, but has taken a more 'soulful' approach...
I just love this - everytime I hear it I have to turn it up! It's just THAT good!!
I bought this after hearing it on RP, and I don't regret it. I've never considered myself a fan of techno, or trip-hop, or whatever sub-category this falls under, but this is just good. 8)

I agree, but why would that prevent you from enjoying it? Great stuff to creepen up the mood. ;)
I bought this after hearing it here on RP, as well as the album just before this (Porcupine Tree). Great set, Bill!
