I find Corrigan's voice grating and insufferable. Great musicians, outstanding harmonies, the voice totally ruins it for me. Sounds like a teenage boy yelling at a customer service representative about his XBox
Errmagerhd, Sir! You've violated the sacred "say nothing bad" rule which the rainbow & unicorn brigade likes to tout in here. For the record I am violently in agreement. Billyboy's incessant whining is like sandpaper on the ears.
PS: For a good laugh, search youtube for "Steven Lynch - What if that guy from smashing pumpkins lost his car keys"

Hmm, i never heard this one before. Billy Corgan is a gifted songwriter. He would be much more successful if he actually had a good singing voice.
His voice and singing style generally fits the feel of the SP songs. And how much more successful could the SP have been?

He can't sing very well but this comment is ridiculous. There was a point in the 90s where his band were arguably the biggest in the world. He did fine.
Suffice it to say that without him Billy Corgan would quite likely have had to find employment in the food service industry ... I mean, there's just not a big market for funny looking bald guys modeling skirts.
Really? Oh, well, so much for that idea.
But holy crap does he have a horrible voice. Still a 7 for me though.
Yea, but Dylan just had a bad voice, Corgan takes bad voice to a whole other level!!!!
Bob Dylan just plain did not know how to sing. But got better with age. This singer intentionally sings like this.

"Set the button to PSD!"

My cat is untrained as well, but I don't reckon I like to hear him sing neither.
Got it in one. Actually I like Billy Corgan, but that is one hilarious frickin comment!
Whatever, everything about this works for me. . .
Same was said about Bob Dylan- his career turned out alright~

Because he's a flippin ingenious, diverse, inspired, poetic, masterful songwriter.
And it's Rock and Freaking Roll people - stick to show tunes and opera if you want trained voices.

+1... for the life of me I can't understand how people could pay their hard earned money to hear his caterwaulin'.

I wanted to say "Jimmy Chamberlin is Smashing Pumpkins" . . . .
Well, it seems kind of wasteful, but as long as they're his pumpkins, I suppose he's free to do it. If it's other people's pumpkins he's smashing, then he really needs to learn to respect others' property.
Some of those cuts included Ugly, Pennies, etc
Sweet!
I wanted to say "Jimmy Chamberlin is Smashing Pumpkins" but that wouldn't make any sense.

have always one or two CDs from the pumpkins in the car.
ever listened to 'Adore' in the night on a highway?

As a bass player there is no more thrilling feeling than locking in with the drummer like this. Just working off each other beautifully.
