She's a picture perfect child
Of innocence.
Searching out in childlike ways
For knowledge.
Now she's questioning her mother
Yeah she's questioning her father
Yeah she's looking for the answers
To the problem now confronts her.
Do you know where the sun goes when the water falls?
Do you know where the rain goes when the water falls?
Though I think her subjects could
Run far and wide
She has centered on the topic
Of the sky
Now she's questioning her mother
Yeah she's questioning her father
Yeah she's looking for the answers
To the problem now confronts her.
Do you know where the sun goes when the water falls?
Do you know where the rain goes when the water falls?
(Repeat to fade.)

I don't care what anyone else thinks — nostalgia makes this whole album a little sublime for me. It can't be separated from being 17 and IN LOVE with the man I would eventually marry — or from our toddlers dancing around the kitchen and laughing 20 years later while my husband played it for them on his guitar.
But: How are the '90s 20 years ago?

Not bad. This would be fun to learn and play.

Let's just give all Collective Soul song's a 7 rating -- they never go above that and never fall below that. A solid but forgettable band.

Always gotta crank it when CS plays!

When do you expect them to be forgotten? The fact that we're listening to, and talking about them means it hasn't happened yet.

What's wrong with likable? We can do with a bunch of that, methinks. I don't always have to listen to excellent, indimenticabile etc.

Always like them. Dosage is an outstanding album to add to any collection.
Getting ready to release their 9th.

Nice song from a treasured album! Last saw these guys in late 2001, and I'm psyched to see them again Thursday at the Boulder Theater!
These guys were (are?) good songwriters. True, they are not as anti-commercial-artsy-prog as Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Porcupine Tree and Radiohead, but they were an alternative to grunge (alternative to the alternative?) and wrote decent songs that I respect.
Pap's Rock from days long-long gone!
Rather terrible!
This is one of their better songs, local guys from right around the corner in Stockbridge Ga.
haha that's great
