Look here baby now you know I can
Be the one to be your man
Baby now you know I'd do
Anything in the world for you
To have lovin' from my baby's eyes
Oh lovin' from my baby's eyes
See that lovin' in my baby's eyes
Lovin' from my baby's eyes
Look here baby now you know darn well
Love you better than another man could tell
Love you baby
Now you know I'd do
Anything in the world for you
To have lovin' from my baby's eyes
I say lovin' from my baby's eyes
I say lovin' in my baby's eyes
Lovin' from my baby's eyes
Late at night when I take my rest
Oh I hold your pictures to my breast
Love you baby
Now you know I'd do
Anything in the world for you
To have lovin' from my baby's eyes
You see the lovin' in my baby's eyes
Have lovin' from my baby's eyes
Lovin' from my baby's eyes
Love ya baby
Love ya baby
Mama now you know I do
Love ya baby
Love ya baby
Do anything for you
I said, late at night when I take my rest
Oh I hold you pictures to my breast
Love you Mama
Now you know I'd do
Anything in the world for you
To have lovin' from my baby's eyes
Oh lovin' from my baby's eyes
Give me that lovin' in my baby's eyes
Lovin' from my baby's eyes
Give me that magic in my baby's eyes
Lovin' from my baby's eyes
Give me lovin' from my baby's eyes
Lovin' from my baby's eyes
Be the one to be your man
Baby now you know I'd do

One of those never get tired of songs........
This sounds just like Uncle Kev Carmody never realised it before. Love both artists.
This song reminded me, didn't we use listen to Keb' Mo' here on Radio Paradise? I haven't heard him being played for what seems years.
Met him years ago in Austin TX and didn't recognize him. Handed him the Ranger 12-string I was playing poolside and had the privilege of hearing him play it and sing for almost a half hour. Very modest and unassuming man. I love his deep resonant voice.
Just saw him in July (of 2021) outdoors, audience all masked, great show. Go see him if you get a chance.
Methinks yer a wee bit sensitive, rocky.

This is awesome. I think Eric Bibb does this even better.
Hit me just right today.

Taj Mahal, super wonderful
If you can get to a Taj concert, do it! Everyone will be dancing and having a great time!! A soon as his music starts people jump out of their seats to get on the dance floor.

You know the sad thing about people born after the 70's, they were born after the 70's.
I think he wrote this song for his daughter.... It's beautiful.
Anti-blues. Great!
I know he is a legend and all, and I like old style acoustic blues, but this almost seems like a parody.
my ex put this on a cd for me before i moved. it's a lovely song. thanks for the reminder!
Eric Bibb also has the great version of this song
I was born in the ignoble city of Springfield, MA, and this is where Taj Mahal is from. Through the years he did a lot of great shows in Springfield even thoug it sucks to the zenith point.
Going to see Taj tonight in Seattle!! Love him!
If you like this song check out the version with Leftover Salmon on the Nashville Sessions...

LOVE TAJ!

This Clarence Carter- Patches came out in 1970- 2 years after Taj Mahal's(born May 17, 1942), first album was released( Taj cut this about 1996).
I think he listened to a bit of Clarence(click here)(born January 14, 1936) in his early formative years-Luvluvluv Taj Mahal, jes sayin'. I bet if you were to untangle things far enough, they've probably run across each other, or are at least aware of each other. They both had debut albums in 1968.
Two very different approaches, by my standard of measurement. Clarence is the real deal. Taj Mahal is an accomplished and entertaining musician who is a student of and advocate for Blues music.I think he listened to a bit of Clarence(click here)(born January 14, 1936) in his early formative years-Luvluvluv Taj Mahal, jes sayin'. Thank goodness its not "Take A Giant Step"....nice follow up to Jimi Hendrix
Nice set today!

The kids? The grandchildren? Save the world together? What happened man!?!!
delightful! reminds me of my baby...
Taj fans --
35 years ago I first heard his West Indian Revelation, which I loved but never knew who or what it was until just last year. So I uploaded it to the LRC and it's currently in review to get on this playlist. Any signed-on RP member who wants to hear it here, vote {YES} for my long-lost treasure! Thanks!

10 from me.
Just a superb artist.
Good guy, good humor, plus he even did the theme song to Peep and the Big Wide World, so he's gotta have a good sense of humor

I think underappreciated becuase he does not do really rockin' blues. Great live performer.
Saw him years ago in Melbourne (Aust) solo hold a great hall (Dallas Brooks) spellbound for hours. Beautiful acoustic space and a performance to cherish.
Me, too!!!!!!
This is a great song - I feel a little bluesy, but also happy.

I had the good luck to see him perform in a LA folk concert years ago.
His performances have such *life* in them....and humor. You can hear the joy he finds in music in almost every note.
I was fortunate enough to see Taj in a "family friendly" concert at Yoshi's in Oakland with our toddler. He sure makes the kids and the grownups smile!
Quite likeable!!
Taj makes me smile...
Taj kicks serious ass.
love this song, first heard it on ksca years ago, became an instant taj fan. saw him at malibu inn last year, he rocks
Taj is cool, he is "the man".
