Sometimes I think life is just a rodeo,
The trick is to ride and make it to the bell.
But there is a place, sweet as you will ever know,
In music and love, and things you never tell.
You see it in their face, secrets on the telephone,
A time out of time, for you and no one else.

CHORUS:
Hey let's go all over the world,
Rock and Roll Girls, Rock and Roll Girls.

Yeah, yeah, yeah!

If I had my way, I'd shuffle off to Buffalo;
Sit by the lake, and watch the world go by.
Ladies in the sun, listenin' to the radio,
Like flowers on the sand, a rainbow in my mind.

CHORUS
CHORUS
CHORUS

Yeah, yeah yeah!

"Put me in coach" OR "Put me in, Coach."  Two different meanings....so, what are you saying? You don't want First Class?

Hey, this ain't the Onion's AV Club!  Save your bragging rites for that snarky pop culture site.

?

Creedence wasn't really known for its protest songs. Maybe "Who'll Stop the Rain" or "Fortunate Son." CCR put out a huge number of hits in a very short time (five years) and had a southern vibe although most of the band came from the San Fran area.

They had a lasting presence on FM radio after they broke up and a lot of people hoped John Fogerty would re-join the band or bring back its magic while soloing. "Centerfield" was...well, middle of the road. Too safe. It got a helluva lot of airplay, but I got sick of a lot of its songs very quickly.

This song is a nostalgia trip now. It pretty much was back in '85 when it came out.

My thought exactly.  I wonder if Rob Lowe was playing the sax a la St. Elmo's.

"St. Elmo's"--wow, truly sucko-barfo.  Laughably cringeworthy.

Not quite.  He was more of a talented rocker who gave it his best.
Are you kidding me?  This is shite.  Sorry Mr. Fogerty.

Something about the yodel... I like it. The whole thing seems Springsteen-y but it's a good record.
Haven't hear this in awhile.
