We stepped out in the morning
Rolled the light beneath the waves
And fired off a warning
Though the light was rearranged
Stick your head out

So count on me when you're falling down
Don't give up on what we got now
I hear you calling
So count on me when you're falling down
And just stop giving what you can't give now
I hear you calling

And she said
Hold my hand
Nothing now will change the mortal man
Mortal man
My friend
Nothing now will change the mortal man
Mortal man
Mortal man
Mortal man
Mortal man

We stepped out in the morning
Holding tight beneath the shade
Stuck our heads out
And fired off a warning
To fly out in the night
Keep your head out
To the calling
If you make it with your hands, you will better understand
So keep your feet out
To the calling
And if we take a stand and sever all our plans

She said
Hold my hand
Nothing now will change the mortal man
Mortal man
My friend
Nothing now will change the mortal man
Mortal

And I've been feeling cold inside
I'm a loaded gun
Maybe I'm a waste of time, hey
And I know its just a state of mind
But oh the state I'm in
Oh, oh the state I'm in
I, and I wonder how I live this life
And I've been floating by myself for way too long

She said
Hold my hand
Nothing now will change the mortal man
Mortal man
My friend
Nothing now will change the mortal man
Mortal man
(So count on me when you're falling down)
(Don't give up on what we got now) Mortal man
(I hear you calling)
Mortal man
(So count on me when you're falling down)
(Don't give up on what we got now) Mortal man
(I hear you calling)

Nothing now will change the mortal man

Saw this band live in SA earlier this year.  Such a joyful experience.  The audience so happy to be at a live gig after a 2 year desert, and the band so happy to have an audience to play to!

A pretty uplifting tune

Komma Key! From a South African who lives 20 km from Kommetjie. Nice chilled music from a fellow Cape Townian!

Nice tune, but...  a bit too hipster for me.

All the snarky, Internet keyboard kowboy elements in play here. All that is missing is intelligence, context and a point.

Always lovely to hear one of our homies on such a prestigious station.
Great tune (on first listen)!

Nice. Reminds me a bit of an upbeat Ben Howard.
