The girl who fell to earth, oooh, oooh,
She gets her kicks from science, oooh, oooh, aaah,

It's hard to see, it's not enough
When you're blinded by computer love
So tear it down and play it rough
You didn't mean to mess it up

Well how I wish we could start over, oooh, oooh, oh
You wear your elastic heart on your chewed up sleeve, oooh, oooh, aaah

First you cry and then you laugh
You're like a circle, cut in half,
Another night of broken sleep
I'll comfort you, I'll warm your dreams

But you've still got time, my warrior child
When the storm starts it's only on the outside

At times we couldn't see the light,
We only wipe our tears dry,
I know you're there, I know it's you
The girl inside is breaking through

The girl who fell to earth, oooh, oh, ah

Gaz... is excellent!!!

I really hate these bitchy complainers on RP.

Get stuffed.

Hey who said Murder? They asked to be shot: According to R.L. Burnside - "I didn't kill him,I just shot him. Dyin's between him and God." Or something to that effect...

"Foreigners"?  Extraterrestrials?  Anyhow, cool tune.

I agree, it's the U. S. citizenry.  We got here, poor dears, how it all adds up will likely remain unclear.  Stear clear ... jeers ahead!

the result for me, not so good...another voice that grates on my nerves when I'm tired. Bono I tend to enjoy - Oasis, never

He apologized for reminding us of our age when he turned 40
4 -> 7

That's what I like to call Bad mood -> Good mood
As much as I like Supergrass, I don't like this. Ah well.

(with apologies)

Man, it's Like Bono, John Lennon, Cold Play, and Harry Nilsson ("Everybody's Talking At Me"?) rolled into one.

Nope. No wailing or redundant echo guitar. Too much melody to be U2.

Yeah but bad U2...I thought it might be a new album that was out and that Bono had run out of material
Photographer: ok, lets do one where you pose pretending to be a douche hipster

Hahaha - love the John Hiatt and Gaz Coombes album covers back-to-back!
New stuff for me.
I'm really loving it.
Will be checking him out on Spotify.
She met the man who fell to earth, and they lived happily ever after.
I used to love Supergrass, but not convinced about Mr Coombes' solo stuff.  I had to check who this was, cos this just sounds like the Yorkester has found true love at last. To my ears only, of course.

Would you like people to form an orderly queue?

There must be something wrong about the lyrics which foreigners are missing, because musically and productionwise this tune is excellent... Felt like defending it with a well-deserved 8.

I have always been drawn to music, that, to me, has that personal, sincere, honest, handmade sound. Probably due to the discovery and love of Todd Rundgren's "Something/Anything" when I was a young teenager.

Love (and miss)  Supergrass love this album by Gas.

Compare the gatefold photo on "Matador" with the gatefold photo on "Something/Anything".

Give "Detroit" and "To The Wire" a spin on your turntable.
Definitely not the best choice from the album.

Worth seeing Gaz Coombes live -  completely changed my mind about him. Consumate performer, powerful voice live.
Maybe not the best track to use as an introduction to this album - but it is a wonderful album.
Oh dear.  Not really Supergrass any more.
Hey its museum of bad album covers guy!
