Two of my favorite singers. I've had the good fortune to hear each live. Kinda wish they were living happily ever after and making more music together.
She could sing the labels off of cereal boxes and I would sit in rapture.

Nice harmonies. Makes me long for the highway. The road into Savannah...all them trees hangin' o'er the streets...
Lovely.
I'm a big fan of Patty's, but I don't care for the songs she and Plant do together. Reminds me a lot of the stuff he did with Allison Krauss, who I also like but didn't like on her own but not with Plant.

Patty played San Francisco recently and to my regret played very few of her really good older songs, focusing more on those that appear much weaker, albeit newer and probably intended to induce purchases. She also played, to my taste, way too many gospel-type songs. I suppose one pays to see and hear a performance and must take what is offered. However, with such a remarkable array of her own compositions to work with, I simple don't find her singing Jimmy Durante as an encore to be what I came for. Que lastima

Yep, I'll second that. Maybe the 'elegaic' quality of the songs on this CD is down to the influence of her hubby, some guy who used to play in some obscure rock band ages ago... ;-)

The blending of vocals with the fingerpicking of the guitar is beautiful. Solid 10.
