Never took a punch in the ribcage sonny?
Never met a soul who had no shrine
Keep this all in your mind and get inside my window
What do we become trying to kill each other?
You're faking it son gonna get you tonight
I suck another breath to the hearts of the Revolution
'Cos it still ain't right

Where did all the love go?
I don't know, I don't know (I bet you can't see it)
Where did all the love go?
I don't know, I don't know, (I bet you can't see it)

Can't see the signs of a real change a comming
Take another sip from this hobo's wine
Get yourself a million miles from this concrete jungle
This is a time full of fear full of anger
A hero's exchange for a telephone line
Whatever happened to the youth of this generation?
'Cos it still ain't right

Where did all the love go?
I don't know, I don't know (I bet you can't see it)
Where did all the love go?
Now I don't know why, oh why

The rivers on the pavement are flowing now with blood
The children of the future are drowning in the flood

Where did all the love go?
Now I don't know why, I don't know why

In this social chaos there's violence in the air
Gotta keep your wits about you be careful not to stare
Oh-oh-oh-oh

Where did all the love go?
I don't know, I don't know (I bet you can't see it)
Where did all the love go?
Now I don't know why, oh why (I bet you can't see it)

I like it, although the disco beat gets into my head more than I would like. I gave it an 8 prior, so there is some discordance there.
Beats Jack Johnson by a mile!
Sounds like Stereophonics which is not bad!

I know I'm going to get criticized for this, but in my opinion, this is a good song severely compromised by the loud clicking sound in the chorus. It should be sitting in the back of the mix. Someone in the control room should have spoken up to set the producer straight.

I think those are handclaps.  Maybe somebody in the studio had on their baggy pants and was dancing and clapping ... ?
The love went to expensive cars, the promise of a corner office, and a home in an exclusive neighborhood. Life reduced to chasing something that will disappoint you in the end.
Why did you have to point that out!!!!

Better than Oasis!

agreed
Miss the chats I used to have with their former Fan Club (president/founder/? Also for other bands too, but I knew of Kasabian via RP) lady who died in a car crash many years ago.
Im getting a Kinks vibe from this

I don't hear much Julian Cope in this song, but I would like to hear just about any of his music on RP.
yes, am digging this!  Thanx again for another "new to me" song dear Bill!!!{#Roflol}...love it! 123K
wHat a Ride....
I can't bear this band, they seem to nick all their tunes from others - I can even hear Showaddywaddy's  "Hey Mr. Christmas"  in this one.
Simply bad
I dig their groovy sound.. {#Dancingbanana}
Cover art's cool....
Me likey like, very much so!

Holy Sweet Jesus, Bill, you're on a roll tonight.

Well, yes.  With a partial exception for a few Massive Attack offerings.

(And, really, Iron Maiden...? Thankfully scarce here.)

Y'know, Stingy, you need to get out more. There is a richness of life waiting for you. Go on. Try it.
great song after you break-up with your girlfriend, or boyfriend.
Agree!

Disliking music by Spandau Ballet should be the law of the land. Any land.
i really thought i liked this the first few times i heard it but, like a piece of Bubblicious, it lost it's flavor quickly. 7->6
For some reason, I now want to hear Real Wild Child by the Igster.
Channeling Cracker.....come in Cracker....

Lennon influenced so many....
Trippy Beatles-esque sound, and the message is heartfelt. Love it.

Thanks, fred - yep, that'd be it.  I have GOT to get this onto my MP3 player. I'd dance like no one was watching (except I'd be wearing clothes.) I have no idea whether I'd dance differently if I was nekkid, but we really don't wanna test that theory.

Haha! Now where's your sense of adventure? ;)
saw these bros at a fashion week event DAMNED GOOD ROCK AND ROLL!
Romeotuma ... I assume you be dancing ... I'll be right over!!!

Also creeping up the scale for me, now at an 8, and growing on me.

Bumping this to a 9, because I love the beat. Great for doing crunches to (if I did crunches) - good traveling music (if I traveled.)  Oh, what the heck - I just love this song because it makes me want to do that head-bobbing, cow-horn-hand-gesture thing and become mindlessly happy.

You mean like this? {#Dancingbanana_2}
Creeping up the scale for me.  Initially I didn't care for it, but something about it makes it hard to hate.  Maybe it's the infectious beat, the harmony, or the slightly unusual chorus.  It feels constructed, but not overly so to the point where it sounds formulaic.  There's a measure of "this sound would be cool here" yet an element of undisciplined chaos that keeps the song from being too predictable.

Guh...  I don't want to like it, but I can't help myself.

And I'll probably still feel the same about this song when I'm sober. {#Roflol}

I think your last comment sums it up..... {#Cheers}
love this band. if you are unfamiliar with them please look into them. their debut self titled album is fantastic, very electronic mixed with rock and their latest "West Ryder..." has been their biggest success and includes many amazing songs.

Parts of their sound, especially the vocals, reminds me of some of Eno's work.  Anyone hearing that?
I just hate being out of cheese and crackers.
This is good.  I also heard the song "Vlad the Impaler' by this group on our local student station.  Great song also.
Love this song, love this video, love this album!!
Nice!

DEFINITELY!

T-REX and other 60's bands as well!

I saw them live in Cologne (so-so!).
The band-DJ - before the concert - played
nothing but...
old Who, Small Faces, T-Rex (!!), early Floyd
(the good Floyd, in other words)
Move and simelar stuff!

I must admit - hearing those old songs,
super-loud and in top-clear sound
was a revalation!

It was actually better than the concert!

They brought an extra guitar-player,
because "their man" was unable to do it alone!
Bizarre!

I was one of those who has "promoted" their CD
in this blog, but...
NO, sorry, the band promised more than they can deliver!

Frankly, meanwhile I wonder why they are still on rotation here,
while guys like Mellencamp, Graham Parker and even
Sting are "seldom seen kids"!

Not fair - seen from a musical standpoint!
KASABIAN is an "unfinished" band!
With a handful of rather good 60's-songs,

I feel the same way when the song starts up and then it grows on me very quickly....I think it's the retro 60's sound that does it!

Is that a mellotron I'm hearing in the chorus?
I love those things.

Anybody hear T Rex in this ?
"you can't tell me your feet ain't movin!"

ah-hahahaaaaaaaaaa!!! my '8' bumped it to 6.7!

love this tune. glad this one is an RP staple.

Luuuurv it! Funny, it's got an early 70's Brit pop feel. I keep hearing the Glitter Band singing 'leader of the gang'. How's the rest of this album?

Yea, this is pretty cool.
This song is right on.  I wonder what the rest of the CD is like?
Loving this one - catchy little chord change reels me in

One of the better British bands out there now. Always liked them. I hope Keane, Coldplay and Razorlight are tuning in. This is good ol' rock'n'roll not the bland stuff they put out.

Greetings from London.

Waking up all pissed off at the world, come to sit down and lo there's Fearless to calm me down. What's on next but some hoppy, fruity Kasabian — a fine breakfast beer to go with the oatmeal.
