NICE!!  Thanx RP!
Love it! Thanks for the release date info, RP. 🙏
Depressing mood. But cool calliope like rhythm part. Is it real or synth? Either way it’s tasty.
The synth reminds me of this masterpiece
Shmingy.
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly!!!! I think this played during the credits.
very enjoyable..
Great segue from Tim Buckley's "Pleasant Street to this...
My favourite Kasabian song.
Compelling.
Simply amazing. Got hooked up on Kasabian with The Sunshine movie soundtrack.
No comment in 5 years..... I couldn't resist :)
Sounds like it should be on  Bourne movie soundtrack.... very cool music.

Not sure about the feminine spirit but that's one exclusive, hard-to-get-onto campsite you've got there.
Sound track to the 2014 Bourne movie, The Bourne Fallacy?
A great gripping, entertaining instrumental piece from a band that's doing a lot of great lyrical work as well. Have to turn this one up!

{#Dancingbanana_2} I love this song!!!

Why do you know who Linda Kasabian is?  There's possibly a similar answer to both questions.

Ah, Darren. You missed the reference. The point of Trading Places was that the big biz jerks who made the bet accidentally found a guy who was a natural (in that case, stockbroker) who succeeded despite, not because of them. MacHazzer means that however Kasabian got in, they're a good band.

I agree.

Nice ref, MacHazzer.

slyly seductive...
this is really good so far haven't heard singing yet...

Sadly, no Inspiral Carpets in the RP library.

Wrong!  It's Testicle Drop!

Their back up group is the Tea Baggers.

rocks pretty hard, don't it?! Go, Bill!
I don't have much to day other than this band is fantastic!
Any music like this makes me wish I still had my pet bong Selafield to hand..... Now I just remember how good music like this sounds when you can talk SLOW!

These guys do; and here's why (c/p from Wikipedia): The band is named after Linda Kasabian, a member of the Charles Manson cult (aka the Manson "family"). In an interview with Ukula, bassist Chris Edwards explained how the former guitarist Chris Karloff picked the name. Reading up on Charles Manson, the Kasabian name stuck with Karloff. "He just thought the word was cool, it literally took about a minute after the rest of us heard it…so it was decided," says Edwards.

It worked like a charm with Exact Audio Copy. BTW, AutoPlay should _never_ be enabled on CD Drives in windows OK?
Hey, this is pretty cool. In spite of the name of the song.

Saw these guys at the Doug Fir in PDX a while back...Kick Ass fer shur....thanks for the musik....!!!
Every time I hear it, I think of the "costuming" scene(when Buffalo Bill is trying on his outfit)in Silence of the Lambs. SigmaBetaTooth wrote:

Yes. That would be the reason why. anti-Microsoft bias strikes again. this song is pretty good. 7

it doesn't take anything for artists to record and release their own music these days.. i dont know why artists would let lables put all this anti cpoying crap on the cd's.. surely 3 people hearing your music but only selling 1 cd is better than only selling 1 cd and only having 1 person hear it... thats my opinion anyways...

I almost bought this CD after hearing it on RP. I cancelled my order after reading the comments about the copy protection. While RCA and the band has the right to protect their material, I don't want to buy a CD that according to Amazon, might not play on the car stereo that I'm buying it to play on. Are there versions of this CD without the potential problems on it? ...like as an import?

the good thing about this site is that it streams music I would more than likely NOT have heard.. good or bad.. this particular tune isn't grabbing me but at most it introduces me to the the artiste/artists.
Just put this on my ipod finally, great track processed beats is a good one to
Excellent!
so so so good... ...and I agree about their second album. There was nothing like Ovary Stripe on it, which blows.
This is my favorite song on the album. It's a shame they've changed so much stylistically on their new release.

Read somewhere that if you hold down the shift key when you load the CD, it overwrites the copywrite and will let you copy. Never tried it myself, but thought I'd pass it on.

I like this Band. This song reminds me of "Inspiral Carpets", one of those long lost bands of the early nineties. Probably well worth forgetting but fun to pull out now and then. Like pictures of my childhood. God I had a lot of hair back then!
neat

I'm sensing a theme here. Songs that sound like they were composed from 1980s video games. Is Beck next?

so since I got the album I think I've noticed three or four different commercial that use cuts from this album. Pontiac G6 and the show 24 come to mind right away. anyone else notice this?

Quite good electronic tune; fortunately, RP plays a wide variety of songs.

Great sound, good song! I would say 7.6 or so... ;)
Now we're farming.
I gave it a 4. I didn't hate it, but was enamoured by it either. It sounds like the soundtrack for a bad special-FX driven movie.
Always nice to hear an MP3 from an album with a loathsome 'content protected' label on it.
Made me want to shut off RP. Sorry

I think this must be the only existing song which pays tribute to the ovary.
Bond. Darnell Bond.
solid.
Always liked instrumentals, especially from groups that are normally lyrical. Proves they can come up with more than a catchy hook and high school poetry. First Kasabian song I've liked. 7.
After not liking them at first, the more I hear from these guys the more I am beginning to like them. Bold and different.
Excellent Space Rock suiting my taste.
