Well, if you set your mind upon it
I know that you can
You've got everything you wanted
You've done everything you planned
So let me make an offer
I'm only trying to help
You can make your load just a little lighter
All you got to do is share the wealth

Oh no, don't you keep your good luck to yourself
Oh no, don't you keep your good luck to yourself

Well, I know you got problems
I see it in your eyes
But if you want to live to see the morning
Give it up to your brother or you'll get a surprise

Oh no, don't you keep your good luck to yourself
Oh no, don't you keep your good luck to yourself

Well, it's time to see
You got to give or you're gonna receive
It's time to see
You got to live if you wanna believe
You can be

Oh no, don't you keep your good luck to yourself
Oh no, don't you keep your good luck to yourself
Oh no, don't you keep your good luck to yourself
Oh no, don't you keep your good luck to yourself
Oh no, don't you keep your good luck to yourself
Oh no, don't you keep your good luck to yourself

Aged better? This will be a classic when Michael Jackson is considered an embarrassment.
Matt Cameron is phenomenal on drums on this track.  Still going strong at almost 60.  A 9 just for Matt's mastery.
When I hear Audioslave, I always think of Richie Kotzen (and vice versa). Speaking of which, can we get some Kotzen on RP?
Another California band nailing another immortal SAVAGE JAM... Sounds really great after "You Should Have Known" from Vast...
Oh no, don't you keep your booger to yourself

It would be nice if we wouldn't have to hear the same songs this often Bill. I don't mind this song or the replay value some songs have, I get it. But the reason I like to listen to RP in stead of anything else is the variety you can get here. I feel 3 plays in 30 days is too much with the huge pool of songs you got on here. The fact I remember when you last played this sort of takes away a bit of the magic I usually experience when listening to RP.

Rant over, Song's a 6. Pretty okay, not my style.
Keep up the good work guys!

Decent enough song, but think I have to tend agree it being played perhaps a bit too often, at the expense of other worthy tunes.
In the last 30 days, it's showing 3 plays in MainMix, and 16!!! plays on RockMix.

I heartily appreciate the variety of tunes, and especially the excellent work B&R do to expand my awareness of music that's new to me.

Maybe a paraphrase of the lyric ...
"Oh no, DO keep your good SONG to yourself"

Thumbs up for your measured rant, especially since I feel similarly about the song; in fact, I'll go 5+1 today.

I'll also go+1 on the BnR thanks and say Keep up the GREAT work guys! Viva RP!

Solid album from beginning to end!

Thanks RP!
RIP, Chris Cornell. Nice obit in the Times:

Chris Cornell, Soundgarden and Audioslave Frontman, Dies at 52By CARYN GANZ and JOHN LELAND

The musician's death in Detroit was "sudden and unexpected," his representative said in a statement. The medical examiner's office said the cause of death was suicide

RIP
RIP Chris Cornell, another great Rock voice gone
Man what a loss.
rip
First time I hear these guys on RP. And they do have way better songs even within this album...
2nd Audioslave cut today!  Thank you RP  {#Notworthy}
Is this an extortion theme?
Thought it was the band HIM for a moment
As the great Rock 'n Roll Detective, Ford Fairlaine once said: "I've heard cats fuck with more harmony"
...i couldn't tell whether this was chris cornell or the brad roberts!..

Oh, I dunno, I guess I kind of like Cornell's voice when it's not sounding like he's trying to shoot down an F-18 with his tonsils.  It's nice to see some stretch from him — not everything has to be a frikkin screeching contest.

Of course, Morello can turn any run-of-the-mill nursery rhyme into a jaw-dropping, head-banging metallic anthem with no more effort than you or I put into our "Which breakfast cereal this morning?" decision.  We're not worthy of him.  None of us.  Nope, not worthy.   {#Notworthy}

Man, this band is just a complete waste of Chris Cornell's amazing voice. He can belt it out better than anyone else, but for Audioslave it's like someone told him to "tone it down."

Not a bad band, but just not as good as it should be.

Yep ... nowhere near the sum of the parts.

This should be followed by Yoshida Bros. "Storm". :-)

Bill is cooking with gas this afternoon!

Great CD.
Gotta love Chris Cornell's Vocals...

And again today.  Bill is da man.

Chris Cornell has the perfect voice for lots of rock and roll!
Chris Cornell went from hard-core grunge of Soundgarden to something in the middle with Audioslave to completely on the other side with his current outing with Timbaland. Interesting journey.

I completely agree. His voice demands to be loud and up front and they just don't give him the music for it. Glad he moved on, for whatever reason.

Soundgarden was great, RATM was good... well, I loved their first album, then was a bit dissapointed when they put out the same album again a couple more times. I expected more from Audioslave. I totally dig Audioslave and Chris Cornell.

The musical equivalent of a dentist's drill.
The intro is the best part.
Freaking genius segue from Quicksilver.
Kind of reminds me of Beck. Good stuff.

Hey, it's OK to like what you want as long as you don't criticize others for liking what they want. Just my story and I'm sticking to it!
Great transition:

Bill is a genius.

Hey, they're playing your song! lol
Sweet. More please!
Probably my favorite song on this Audioslave CD- it keeps getting better with each play. However, you need a really good system to get all the nuances: there is a lot more happening below the surface. Of course this can be said of a lot of artists, but this is espcially true with this AS track.

Hate the band, hate the song...bummer.
I miss RATM.
what i MEANT to say was: the original 4 rage against the machine albums feature some of the best guitar work i have ever heard. and i love the disclaimer they used: All sounds on this recording were produced by guitar, bass, drums or vocals. and tom morello is my guiar hero!

I feel his playing is more flash than substance. He does come up with some nifty riffs every now and then, though.
When Michael Mann places their songs in his films, they work well enough in context. Listened to separately, they're just tired.

if this is the only piece of morello's work you've ever heard, then i'll just pretend i didn't hear that.

Really bad (like in terrible... please don't play this again) music.
the only good part is the cover art

True. Or Soundgarden for that matter. I like both bands alot. The odd thing is when both play together either the vocals or the guitar seemes to annoy and drown out the song.
Great song!
Oh you're kidding right...what a ridiculous comment! srbarry wrote:

Cute name for the band, nice rhythm, but the mix or engineering or whatever it is, is simply awful!!
These guys sound great together - second CD is just as good as the first..........
Wonderfull track. When I first heard it I must have played it 4-5 times in a row. One of the few tunes I like that just gets better the louder it is. Too bad their last CD was a disappointment overall. Much like the group 'Live', I think their best is behind them.
Audioslave's second album is top notch. Glad to see them get some airtime.
That was a righteous mix in from the Loop Guru song. I'm pretty sure I'd like to hear about the woman that broke Chris Cornell's heart and caused him to write the incredibly moving lyrics in some of his songs.
Big Audioslave fan
Sounds a lit bit like Jim Morrison... raw... I kinda like it!
helllllllls yea
Oh Yeah, now were talkin. Good stuff. Props to R.P. for playing something with some bite.
I wish Chris Cornell would just quit. His voice is so drone-y anymore...

Sorry, red, we disagree here, but I know how you feel about Audioslave. ;-) This is a great example of what this band could do. Excellent rocking tune.

I think Morello and Cornell ruled way harder before they started working together.

Drum machine? I don't think so. Just the superhuman skill of Brad Wilk. The only production tricks on this track are reverb, a little flanging, & a few guitar overdubs. Just basic rock & roll from 4 guys who know their stuff.
Yeah. Hardly. That's a human on the drums, and a human on the guitar. Okay, so it's not the best cut on the record, but it's good to hear something other than their "hits". Heard a new song yesterday. If it's an indication of what's coming up on their next album, we're in for a good one.
