I keep on fear, keep on loathing
Nothing brings it on I keep on falling
Decide what it is I can not find
It's subsides what you make it
Never feel like you're gonna break it
It's gonna be alright alright
Sleep until the morning comes
The sun will warm your soul
Sleep until the morning comes for you
Til the morning it's alright
I can walk into the sunlight, into the day, into the day, to the day
I feel it falling, nothing comes to my mind
Bring it on in a different tide
I feel alright, alright
I feel strong, i feel rigid
It's nothing to do with the vision
Oh feels so right, so right
Sleep on tight, sleep on tight
Sleep until the sunlight
Sleep until sunlight
Sleep on tight
Sleep on tight
Sleep on tight
Sleep on tight, til the sunlight
Sleep on tight, til the sunlight burns you happy
Til the sunlight burns you happy, till the sunlight burns a happy hole in
Your heart,
In your heart
In your heart...

The lovely, dreamy voice of Emilíana Torrini.

Finally got to see Thievery Corp at Levitt Pavillion, in Denver, at a grass amphitheater, July 9; first legit concert in a while for me and thousands of happy others. They opened their tour with our show, and jammed us well till very late. You gotta see them live! Bravo!

You Lucky Duck!  I wish I could have been there!
Hello Sir William and  Alannah,

I know this tune from a computer game called The Sims. We used to play it for hours with an ex-girlfriend of mine. Happy memories...:)

Perfect song for daydreaming
They always have the good beats and the best voices.

Sleep on tight, til the sunlight burns you happy!
Difficult to be morcheeba
Love this performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eK6SYVyZRk

I full agree with that RadioDoc ... not an easy task, I love the way he folds one Genre into another gradually sliding into another similar mood. He gets my full admiration, and I am always passing this station on to all my friends here in the UK not just for the ad free but the way Bill constructs his Programme.

THIS!
YES! Emiliana puts her angelic voice into the groovy sonic soup that is Thievery Corporation! Great set of songs this morning! Thanks!
I thought that was Emiliana Torini! Just adore her voice. And she was born on my birthday.
Every single track they put out puts me in a dreamlike trance.....
Loungy nice ...

Got to love the band's name.

Bill constructs sets, mixes if you will, out of various tracks which create moods, follow a vibe, flow or sometimes just 'belong' together, etc.  It's actually very old-school radio programming and he is an expert at it.  Some older folk here may recognize it from the early 1970's when FM harbored progressive radio and the DJ actually picked what was played.  The sets are then mixed together into what you hear on Radio Paradise and you'll see them repeated intact because of that.

Bill programs his automation computers to play what he wants when he wants.  Inserting live programming into a streaming setup is not as easy as doing it with conventional radio automation so you'll rarely hear anything done in real-time.

agreed!  coolest band in the world right now...IMHO.

my favorite one from them
Emiliana's voice sounds so nice on top of downtempo or trip hop beats!  I wish her newer stuff hadn't gone all folksy acoustic.  Oh well.

Not exactly looped every month. Bill takes a section of a playlist and replays it at some point when he's not in the studio, but I don't think there is any rhyme or reason as to when a particular playlist is replayed.

New to my ears; but I an new to the site.  A buddy turned me on to RP.  Best thing to happen in my universe for years.  This song included.
So far, I like everything I have heard from Thievery Corporation. Some better than others but none that I would necessarily skip through.

Thanks for this. Needed clarification. Not a bad thing. Just curious. Happy listening, Texas.

Yep. I'm on board. Hey, are these sequences looped every month? Noticing the previous dates. I'm a newbie.

Sad. Remindes me that Pam Bricker passed away last Sunday.
Oh man... as a fan of both Thievery and Emiliana, and having never heard this before... All I can say is... :meditate.gif: :nodhead: :meditate.gif:

You mean "vocals".

I thought the same thing. It sounds like emiliana. I looked it up, and its a remix of Emiliana's Until the Morning: https://www.alwaysontherun.net/emiliana.htm#until
These guys always groove. Chill beats helping me loosten-up at work.
Yea, this is great. Play more in this genre, as most all other music is well accessable via other broadcasts. Hail RP!

Same here but nice to read that opinions differ
why isn't there any songs by kruder and dorfmeister...? I ask again...

I second that notion! Like 'em, but seems I hear 'em every time I tune in.

More like Morcheeba ;)
sounds very much like portishead. A nice sound and an interesting song. Mixed feelings only because it needs to go somewhere for it to be a really interesting sound/song. :-s :?:

I think it actually is her....

Exactly. Not only is Thievery Corp one of my favorite bands, but, their live show is incredible. All of the instruments which are most likely digitized in the studio, have real folks playing them at the show. All of the vocalists appeared at the show also. It was GREAT!

Being from DC and all, its been revealed to me over the years that T.C. rules. However, you guys just play a ton of their stuff of the Richest Man in Babylon Album as if you were sponsored by Tower Records. Lets hear some of their earlier work!

They do steal a lot of tunes! It\'s is not rock, it\'s not pop, is it music at all? Kruder & Dorfmeister did this loungy elevator music, TC steals the bad stuff and come up with something worse. If you steal, do it good!
I love this group and this album! I would have probably never listened to them if not for RP. Thanks for introducing me!
At first I thought this was Morcheeba ... which always makes me perk up my ears. Once I did, I realized the voice wasn\'t as smooth, but I think I still like it. While the voice isn\'t as flawless as Skye\'s, the overall feel of the tune is smooooooooth.

Agreed on the voice, but it's a shame that the music isn't a little more interesting. And I've never been a fan of regge (is that spelled right?) and this definitely has that sort of feel to it. Update: Man, what was I thinking, this music rules :) The more TC I hear the more I realize that it's only a matter of time before I have to own one of their discs
Love it! Her voice sounds really cool on this. I really like this group, and would have never heard them if not for RP. Thanks!
