In a church by the face
He talks about the people going under

Only child know...

A man decides after seventy years
That what he goes there for
Is to unlock the door
While those around him criticize and sleep

And through a fractal on that breaking wall
I see you my friend and touch your face again
Miracles will happen as we trip

But we're never gonna survive unless
We get a little crazy
No, we're never gonna survive unless
We are a little
Crazy crazy crazy

Crazy are the people walking through my head
One of them got a gun to shoot the other one
And yet together they were friends at school
Get it, get it, get it, yeah!

If all were there when we first took the pill
Then maybe then maybe then maybe then maybe
Miracles will happen as we speak

But we're never gonna survive unless
We get a little crazy
No we're never gonna survive unless
We are a little
Crazy
No no we'll never survive unless we get a little bit

A man decides to go along after seventy years
Oh darling
In a sky full of people only some want to fly
Isn't that crazy
In a world full of people only some want to fly
Isn't that crazy
Crazy
In a heaven of people there's only some want to fly
Ain't that crazy
Oh babe Oh darlin'
In a world full of people there's only some want to fly
Isn't that crazy
Isn't that crazy Isn't that crazy Isn't that crazy

Oh
But we're never gonna survive unless we get a little crazy crazy
No we're never gonna to survive unless we are a little crazy
But we're never gonna survive unless we get a little crazy crazy
No we're never gonna to survive unless we are a little crazy
No no never survive unless we get a little bit

And then you see things
The size of which you've never known before
They'll break it
Someday
Only child know
Them things
The size
Of which you've never known before
Someday

Get over yourself, really. There is nothing crude, crass, or unenlightened about this photo. Exactly the opposite. It is an intelligent  combination of words and images to make a humorous statement. The idea that you think this is racist or something tangential displays your own racism and sensitivity. I commented her before about this - Suppose it was a white performer and his or her head were placed on a baby seal? Would that still be as crass, crude , and unenlightened as the image you're commenting on? FWIW, I bet if Seal saw this image he would laugh his ass off.

Love this song, one of those I'm listening to while writing and have to look up and see who this is. I probably heard it back in the 90s in my youth but never knew the name. Thanks to RP now I have this song on my best off
While I really like this somg, I don't like the version RP is playing: This a typical 80/90ies 'Maxi-Single' Version, where some producer added one or two longish sequences that are not more than a shallow and boring copy of the song's main theme. Unfortunately, while these additional sequences make the song longer, they actually make it worse.

Please play the single version, absolutely great and no weak parts!

This track is so much better than "Kiss From A Rose" that the radio stations were completely obsessed with.
Very good

Memories of an ex-gf. Good memories, hah! Didn't expect that didja? Instant 9 for me.
Here's something crazy: play more Seal! His albums are very sublime, especially the self-titled ones.
May need an edit.  Best of 1991 - 2004 released in 1991?

Love this mix, it's different than the one you hear all the time. Awesome!

I suppose likening a black man to an animal might not be racist under certain circumstances.   Eye of the beholder though, might argue against taking the chance.
Maybe it's my new speakers, but the production quality of this track is just fantastic.
I want to watch The Devil Wears Prada every time I hear this song

Interestingly enough, they just played the same three artists consecutively in the same order today (12-Sept-2018).  Coincidence? :)

I wasn't familiar with Seal's music, but based on this song, I think I'm gonna have to give him a listen.

Even if he were to sing the phonebook, he would still sound like a god. It's not me who said that, but Trevor himself.
One of those songs that no matter how many times I hear it played, I still enjoy it.

I look at the title in my Itunes library and skip by it because I've heard it so much.

But when I hear it on RP,  I realize I still really like this song.

Not a 10 for everyone.
But the memories this tune brings back are priceless.

Hi Linda!
I distinctly remember this fresh song at the time being used to demonstrate a pair of DCM CX27 speakers with some Onkyo powerhouse feeding them and I fell in love with the equipment and song. Would love to have those CX27s back...sigh

That shouldn't disqualify it.  The highest ranked songs on the RP playlist are mostly songs heard on "mainstream" radio ad nauseum.  Even your selections of 10s include such over-played radio staples like "Fly Like An Eagle", "A Whiter Shade of Pale", and "Comfortably Numb".

Awesome, tight, melodic - great tune.
Always liked the music of this tune, only now I stopped to read the lyrics and wow, I totally agree!!
Wow. Haven't heard this in years.

I went to Seal's homecoming gig on his first tour (1991 I think, the year is hazy). An absolutely stellar show. In the space of a year he'd gone from being a guest vocalist to fronting a four piece rock band (including the impressive Gus Isidore). There was a particularly cool, spacious cover of Hey Joe, which I still remember vividly.

Always liked this song.  Thanks, Bill!

This is one of those songs that is clearly "of its time" in production values that also sounds great today.  Much like early Beatles, Motown classics, 1960s-era backmasking, 1980s-era sampling, etc.  I love to hear it!

The lyrics, "And through a fractal on a breaking wall, I see you my friend, and touch your face again" appears to be a reference to the Berlin Wall coming down." Others think it's about drugs...

Yeah, I always interpreted it as a hallucinogenic experience. And the recognition that only some people want to risk expanded consciousness... But higher consciousness is exactly what this species desperately needs if we're to survive. Timeless song. Alanis Morissette's version is also worth a listen.
