Funny, I've known this song as the album name forever but I'm not sure I ever heard the song itself until I started hearing it on RP. I don't even remember 'BCN (The Rock of Boston for 41 years) playing it back in the day. Thank you Radio Paradise!

George was eclipsed by Johns' brilliance and persona, but still remains as my most loved Beatle. Understated, intensely creative and adventurous. I hear sitars and Sergeant Pepper, music of that era that was considered as experimental. It was his adoption of culture with diversity that had not previously existed in popular music that shines for me, still.
This particular song leads me back to this album I once owned, now lost to time.

I was standing over the sink staring off into the distance thinking about how my marriage ended two years ago and how I am finally ready to entertain another person after what was, for what seemed like forever, a long, sad, slow recovery. "How could it have ended?", I briefly mused....

I could have easily enjoyed a couple more life-times of George's music. Loved the Wilbury's and
wonder what was inspiration triggered End Of The Line . George always traveled with at least two and
often more ukuleles in the trunk of his car. He pulled into Petty's drive one day and told Tom to pick out
one of the uku's, but Petty said " I don't know how to play one of those" George said " Hey no problem, I'll teach you, grab one," so Petty did, and after an hour of so Petty had picked up the chord patterns and they were jamming away. Tom said from that day on "he" never went anywhere without a uku in his trunk.

Story:  My radio-programmer friend played this song on the radio right after I'd lost a dear friend to cancer. He didn't know, but I e-mailed him, and he apologized. I fwapped him, we met for drinks and talked about my friend, and the music. He confessed that "All Things Must Pass" was one of his favorite songs and he built song-sets around it because it lent itself to sorrow and hope.

So - I can't listen to it without being very ambiguous about how I feel. It makes me cry, but it also inspires a sense of positivity. I hate this song.  I love this song.

Today, I love it, because I can feel positive about the immediate future of me. As I type this, I have five cats sacked out around the bedroom, the sun is still shining, the chirdies are burping, and tomorrow's dinner is planned. And RP is playing some very amazing music.

Life is kinda good today.
