Up in the midnight blue,
That's where I'm going to
Up where the sirens scream
Through every misplaced dream
Up with the Pirate Moon

In bloody monochrome
That's where I'll call my home
Up where the stars will die
Before they can reach your eyes
Up with the Pirate Moon

Yeah, I'm going home
Yeah, I'm going home

Above the mirrored sea
That's where I'm gonna be
Up where the whisper fails
The scar tissue of vapour trails
Up with the Pirate Moon

Up in the cloud ballet
That's where I'm going to stay
I could just disappear
You cannot reach me here
Up with the Pirate Moon

Yeah, I'm going home
Yeah, I'm going home
With the Pirate Moon
With the Pirate Moon

This may be one of the only songs on the playlist that doesn't have that allegation in the comments.
Heard this and thought it was Dido! Love her voice
Wow, this is really cool!

Again? I heard this track two hours ago. I'll take it.  That voice inclines me to fall in love with her. A lush and luscious sound it is. I don't much care it may have been digitally doctored because the whole musical aesthetic sends me for a loop.

Her voice and phrasing are similar, but she seems to have more range than Margo does.
This might be a candidate for Perfect Song of the Day.

I LOVE this song!  The vocals are so dreamy and perfect, and the whole mood of the song is beautiful and peaceful. I want this. {#Sunny}

Beautiful
Everything I hear by this woman I love. Check out "Dance in New York."
this is good! {#Good-vibes}
First listen Most Excellent.

Distinctive voice, very clear. The critics here can't hear it.

Good song, production, another gem floated by Billecca and RP.

THANK YOU. More of this, an antidote to the histrionics I carp about (Matthews, Florence, Natalie M).

IN THE POCKET.
Nice.
Reminds me of Margot Timmins / Cowboy Junkies.

Nice warm full woman's voice....
Just as I was tiring of whiney nasal sounding males of dubious affiliation.

I like a warm woman's voice... Real woman... Hmmmm

Thank you

yep, sometimes I just want to hear a woman sing
A tame version of a Chris McVie ballad .
Not so keen on first listen

Thank you
Thea's terrific, strong subtle and sweet, and then followed with Nick Cave's "Shoot me down"    Brilliant

Nice, got to check this one out!

Check her out at the Submariners Club as she sounds like she is singing in a Torpedo Tube..
Haven't heard this in ages... it's still just as lovely as ever!
Wow!

This is sublime!

Immediate purchase. Haven't done that very often.
Sounds similar to Emmylou Harris.  Not a bad thing.

Me too! SO great to hear Thea on RP!! This isn't my favorite song off the album. I like heads will roll & cracks, but this is a lovely mellow ditty. Shes recently had a baby and a new album last year (almost simultaneously) Checkout Harpo's Ghost. Its great!

Much as I love me my Margo, I think Thea does it better.

I'm really impressed with this lady...only heard her on RP. Great singer/songwriter. I could be forced into BUYING a cd of hers.
No one had to force me. She's amazing. Go for it. Avalanche is definitely the place to start.

Feels like an up-beat Alan Parsons.
Quite nice and dreamy.

Isn't it, though?? Another on my long list of CDs to get.
Pirate Moon is a wonderful song, so is "Juliet" from the same CD. IMHO, though, rest of CD is very iffy - aftr giving it a good try, I stick to these two songs and one othr "Eighteen Months"...

After the last two vocalists, this one is absolutely beautiful! Very pleasant!
Wow I've been in a FUNK all day long, and hearing this song from an RP stream rip back from the 13th of March just blew me away. Yea, a little like Beth Orton, I can see that. In combination with Norah Jones, very nice.
Just got this album (via RP amazon link of course) and it's good stuff. An intelligent and powerful mix. Love" Rags and Bones"....
Atmospheric. Very nice.
I thought it was Beth Orton at first but great song.
