This is likely to be the last update for a while, as my blood work came back normal this week, and I started the new treatment plan today.  This plan is a chemo pill, and a REALLY NASTY injection in my belly.  The pill is three weeks on, one week off, and that awful injection is once a month, on day 1.

We will probably be doing this for many months....

Thanks for helping me get through the past few months of hell.  I appreciate all of your good thoughts, and the mix cds that were sent, too!  {#Daisy}

Alright!
My blood work is much better this week, but we skipped treatment today anyway, to allow things to keep improving.  The treatment I started in December has been suspended permanently.

I will return to the doctor on 1/28, and we will start an alternate protocol which does NOT involve IV chemo.

I will be switching to a chemo pill, in conjunction with a monthly injection (which will be in addition to the monthly injection I have been taking for 5 years).  This will be better than sitting in the chemo chair for 3.5 hours every week!

It will FOR SURE be better than having dangerously bad blood work that could have landed me in the hospital!

SO...YAY!  Thanks for the JUJU!

Well, this has never happened before.

My labs were still showing signs that I am not tolerating one of the chemo drugs very well...so, they sent me home without a treatment!

My team will re-evaluate, and come up with a different plan before my appointment next week.

In the meantime, I get a week off from chemo, and the hope is that my various counts will stabilize (namely, that my immune system will rebuild, and that the liver enzymes will drop back down to normal range), and we can start whatever the new protocol is next week.

Next lab draw is Monday.  Need some strong healing juju.  Thanks.
