she brings the light
while I squander and grope
for time
to repair

Then to a fixed point on a chart
somewhere forgotten by the world
we love over grief and blend salt with water; in a way-
eternal...

window

she was a visage of timeless treasure
a soft, stained glass window
cultured, gothic.   metaphoric

she was a beautiful paneled door
an ornate bell with manual opera
sweetly, singing crafted her passage

a jewel toned tincture she was
a drape of ruby and amber and golden light
a home near the very point of view

she was a dream, a mother
crystal blue cornea, precious sight
from babe to bond not undwelt

to satisfy color and tone and crumbling spire
only to build it higher
a poem of fire
razed in darkness
risen in light...

Lovely.

Why thank you. I guess its part of something much larger
but I was in a moment after that Longfellow poem in the other thread.

An eye for a tooth
A lie for a truth
You keep on living
In the Superman booth
Banging your head
Against the wall
Until all enemies
Crumble and fall
Only to rise again
The very next day
No matter how loud
You scream and pray
With both knees bended
On the cold hard floor
Knocking and knocking
On the opened door

Not a solemn note was there
as we closed our lessons
Bleak through the pitch, and incredibly high
a noted satisfaction with mystery
Earning yearning learning burning
blairing
uncaring for
listless silence like drool on a school desk

He dreamed his cycles numbered
And mansions in the sky
But for all the weathered clamor
And withered weary prose
He wore a lightening stammer
And thunder with a rose
Then waves arise and buoys stirred
Enigmatic in the dark
The depths and breadths immeasured
The torrent winds embarked
Abreast to constellations cure
With sextant heart aligned
The land afar the water pure
The times of time relined
Then rendered all asunder
Magma, mist and man
The finished feral plunder fill
The breach to understand

The first time I saw you
you were a jellyfish on the beach
all soft and exposed and
out of your element
with a whiff of decay
and a hint of poison

I poked my stick at your tentacles
watched them quiver in the wind
and thought of the fish
they once held

and thought
that's not my world

at the foot of the cross

In the bright glare of the sun
And breathless golden slumbers
I wear dark clouds over my shoulders
Until the rain is so heavy
That it drapes over my entire world
And my teary reunion with hope
For deliverance from the cold

And warming the sun
Married the flowers

To stones the time
And colors the wind
All for one and over
Again children
Come up and bloom
Again

Now and then, my mortality comes  into focus. {#Notworthy}
