Thanks - I will continue to investigate why the LMS plugin loses connection from time to time with interactive streams, but I will not do this server validity check

Thanks Bill - BTW, do you recommend I add a mechanism to manually rotate between servers or was that a really exceptional case?

Note to self: if you're going to authorize a new temporary IP address for use by rsync when mirroring audio file directories, do it as the user that's going to be running the script, not as root.
Translation: dumb little error on my part. Fixed now.
No. You don't want to do that. The problem we were having should not reoccur. Other problems will, I'm sure â but not that one :-)

I saw that thanks, but it seems that he escaped and dove (dived?) again. I can see it back in the DNS response and he has the same 404 issue on any request

Hi - I'm trying to find a solution for the FLAC interactive plugin of LMS (LogitechMediaServer).
What seems to happen is that from time to time, a connection is dropped in the middle of the reception of the concatenated flac tracks. I've made a change to re-open the connection and start where we left and it seems to work well but unfortunately I had a lot of issues later today and I realized that one server 23.29.117.2 always respond by a 404 to any request, so it seems to be down.
Unfortunately my method of dealing with dropped connection makes the LMS plugin more sensible to that issue of one server down as it naturally rotates across servers when one connection drops, but that's another thing that I need to fix.
So I just wanted to inform you about 23.29.117.2 being, that's all
Yes, that server is indeed down. We had the lifeguard kick it out of the pool :-)
