I think Don's going to borrow a few ideas from Richard Scarry and lump them into one yuuuge book. Yes.

If you're Trump...not a whole helluva lot.

Economic meltdown! 500,000 Americans dead from Covid during Trump's term! Endless whining about stolen elections! Lawsuits and criminal investigations galore! Whee!

What Voters in Wyoming Say About Liz Cheney’s Lonely Stand
In a heavily Republican state, their lone congresswoman’s defiance of the former president is unpopular. But some residents still stick up for her. “She told the truth!” one proclaimed.

Okay let me rephrase that, since all candidates for national office are insane: I hope someone qualified runs.

I'd settle for some acceptance of sane Republicans, too. Look at what's happening with the backlash Gov Gordon is getting. I mean, I don't agree with a lot of the guy's policies and actions, but if we had someone else at the helm during this pandemic I guarantee you it would have been an unparalleled shitshow.

So I'm in favor of ranked choice voting in some form but maybe not. If it had been in play during the governor's race, we'd have Harriet Hageman or Foster Friess as governor. And if it's in play now, we'd definitely get Gray or Douchard... but as it is, they're both so egotistical they're not going to give the other a break and will probably let Liz keep her seat. Fingers crossed.

I do hope this is one of those years that a sane Democrat runs

I see the Governors of some other states making headlines with the crazier-train ravings and just stare blankly, knowing what's coming for us.

Take this as a heads-up, America: you have not seen crazy politicians AT ALL.

Cripes. Chuck Gray is actually the Rep for our district. Came up to our door campaigning a couple of years ago while we were in the middle of re-flooring the entire damn upper floor of our house. I simply asked him what he had to offer his non-religious constituents and within maybe 2 minutes literally had to chase him off of our front porch after receiving an insane frothy-mouthed shouting response. Not a fan.

The Republican Party has decided to go down with the Captain and his ship while persecuting anyone who attempts to plug the holes or bale.

It's so bad that state and local elections now focus on national issues.   I posted yesterday about the guy in NJ, Hirsh Singh.  He's a clown with a lot of money and an ego telling him he's important.  After failing at several levels of NJ to get elected, his slogan is Make New Jersey Great Again.  The first statement on his brochure is "President Trump showed us just how deep and treacherous the Swamp really is."    The next statements from the guy (in order) address:

- Constitutional Rights
- Stop the Never-Trumpers
- 2020 Election Fraud
- Forced vaccinations (not allowing them)
- Pro-second Amendment

And the big close.   "I will lead like Governor Ron DeSantis" and President Trump.  The quotation marks are his.  I guess he never actually said he'll lead like DeSantis and Trump?

This is NJ.  Trump got 41% of the vote (vs 57% for Biden).   NJ's Gov. Murphy's approval rating slipped again yesterday....to 57%.  He obviously thinks there is a path through the primary spouting Trump 101 ideology.  In other states, it's going to result in bat-shit crazy government.
