But his economy!
Donald Trump promised he would fight for LGBTQ people. Instead, his administration has systematically undone recent gains in their rights and protections. Here are 31 examples.

"Hundreds and hundreds of buses" full of Massachusetts residents who were somehow magically able to vote in New Hampshire?  He's just allowed to repeat lies (sometimes ones like this which are entirely unsubstantiated) endlessly - what does that say about his supporters?  Looks like his knowledge of American geography and history hasn't improved much either:

“Concord. I love Concord!” Trump exclaimed. “Oh, Concord. Do you know how famous Concord is? Concord. That’s the same Concord that we read about all the time, right? Concord. I love Concord.”
It’s quite possible that the Concord Trump referred to was the one in Massachusetts, which is where the “shot heard 'round the world” helped kick off the American Revolution.

What was especially fun was his pronunciation.  Con-Cord vs the local Kahnkud.  Should have gone to Hahvud instead of Penn...he'd know bettah.

Secret Service has paid rates as high as $650 a night for rooms at Trump’s properties
Those charges, compiled here for the first time, show that Trump has an unprecedented — and largely hidden — business relationship with his own government. When Trump visits his clubs in Palm Beach, Fla., and Bedminster, N.J., the service needs space to post guards and store equipment.

Trump’s company says it charges only minimal fees. But Secret Service records do not show that.

"Well, I thought it was a terrible thing when she ripped up the speech,” Trump told reporters as he left the White House for a trip to North Carolina. “First of all, it's an official document. You're not allowed, it's illegal what she did. She broke the law.”

Love how his cling-ons just dismiss this. Don't see it. The selective blindness is astonishing.

(...) But the trial still had witnesses.

We, the people, are the witnesses. We witness crimes carried out in plain sight by this government every day. We witness them on TV and we witness them in our daily lives, as ordinary citizens suffer from Mr. Trump’s ceaseless corruption. We are so tired of being witnesses that we feel like a captive audience. But it is important to remain a witness in a time of autocratic consolidation.

The Trump administration does not like witnesses. That is why Mr. Trump spent his whole life intimidating them into silence, whether through NDAs or threats of violence carried out by lawyers such as Michael Cohen. That is why they attack journalists and civil servants and scientists and try to forbid them from sharing facts with the public. It doesn’t feel empowering to be a witness under a regime determined to destroy the very concept of truth. But the truth always matters. If the truth didn’t matter, they wouldn’t work so hard to suppress it.

The Trump administration is set to continue its corporate friendly assault on U.S. environmental regulations Thursday by finalizing a rule that will allow companies, landowners, and property developers—including golf course owners like the president—to dump pesticides and other pollutants directly into many of the nation's streams and wetlands, potentially threatening the drinking water of millions of Americans.

"This will be the biggest loss of clean water protection the country has ever seen," Blan Holman, an attorney with the Southern Environmental Law Center, said in a statement.

The new measure will roll back Obama-era "Waters of the United States" (WOTUS) regulations aimed at ensuring wetlands and streams are protected under the 1972 Clean Water Act, which the Trump Environmental Protection Agency has repeatedly targeted despite the president's professed desire for the U.S. to have the "cleanest water" in the world.

"This puts drinking water for millions of Americans at risk of contamination from unregulated pollution," said Holman. "This is not just undoing the Obama rule. This is stripping away protections that were put in place in the '70s and '80s that Americans have relied on for
their health."
