Hmmmmmmm.......   RTFB, the way you present this situation, it is like a problem just asking to be solved.   My inner engineer cannot help himself.

Given my own personal experience and brief brush with the UK contemporary music industry, I would recommend the following:

Go to a coffee house, blues bar or jazz hang out, take in a concert or two, perhaps hang out in the day time.    Once, you get to know folks or get into a friendly exchange, ask.   Ask and explain.  Even non-users should sympathize with your situation.   Don't push it.  Let it come to you through contacts you can hold accountable at a later date.

I would avoid the temptation of asking a total stranger on the street.  Especially somebody who smells like weed.   Together, organized weed smokers do not look like or smell like smokers.

You are truly a sick individual. The only side you are on is your own. The cannabis laws are being reversed one state at a time and people's records are being expunged retroactively. You make way too many assumptions. I have no record, therefore I have never been convicted of a drug crime let alone been arrested or brought to trial. There is absolutely no reason to assume anything otherwise. We are from two entirely different worlds and the most you have to offer me is your pathetic pity on which you build the foundation for your moral superiority over lowlifes such as me and my personal suffering in order to make you feel good, at the expense of others. You try to render my predicament as unsympathetic because of how I interpret other laws which have no basis on what I am talking about here, namely laws that interfere between a doctor and their patient. Something that you should have some understanding being the child of an MD. But you don't. You are only about you and how you can demonstrate your superiority over others of means less than yours. Let us not forget that you are a 1%'er. And look who you choose to pick on, constantly and without either hesitation nor empathy which you are incapable of due to your privileged upbringing.

Your drug of choice is alcohol while mine is cannabis. Alcohol poisons me and makes me ill. You can have your jollies with your legal drug while you view the one I choose with disdain and extreme condescension and its use as a moral and psychological weakness and you would deny me my jollies while you enjoy your's, because the use of your's conflicts with no laws that you consider just and proper.

This endless disdain and personal hate that you have gone out of your way to demonstrate towards me here over the years leads me to these conclusions. Such as illustrated by your self righteous comment above to which I am replying. You could have chosen not to comment at all but you did. You just could not resist another opportunity to put me in my place, could you ? That is the only reason you chose to make your reply, right ? I see no other reason for you to reply to anything I may have to say about anything.

Well you got one point right.

I miss weed.

I smoked pot for 42 years then I was diagnosed with PTSD and got a medical marijuana card.  No more worries about fentanyl in my bud.

But then I moved to the UK where it's still illegal unless you have cancer or epilepsy, neither of which I have, thankfully.   But goodness gracious, it's a fucking plant.  It helps people.  It helps a lot of people.   It helps me stay calm and focused.  It helps my creativity.  It makes music all the sweeter.   I really miss my pot.

Funny thing is, I invested in British medical marijuana years ago and have made a good bit of money on that stock.   I mean...  shouldn't that get me a pass?

I'd just be happy to taste it again.   Maybe I'll like the old pewter roach clip my friend gifted me years ago..lol.    Just the other day a young man walked past me in the village and he smelled like weed.   I wanted to ask him to stand still for a few minutes so I could sniff him but he walked away too fast.

I'm grateful to be here in Scotland, I just wish I had a joint.   Just one.

These freaking stupid laws enacted because of this over blown opiod crisis bullshit. The users are, as usual, fucked over because of the abusers. Even with no documented abuse of any medications and with a Stage IV cancer diagnosis, I am presumed guilty and have to prove my innocence. It really, really pisses me off more than I can say. But, with a medical professional license I cannot afford to test dirty. One strike and I am out of work. My GP freely admits that this is bullshit as well as my pharmacist, but their hands are tied. We get every single bit of our meds through one pharmacy and it has been questioned along the way because of these new opiod crisis laws regarding any suspected irregularities of our family med consumption.

This goes way back, but got a great boost under your saint Reagan and nancy's war against (some) drugs. I'm mostly on your side here, and hope you can find the relief you need. But you are not proving your innocence - you are admitting to a crime and detailing the way in which you are working the system to avoid being caught and suffering the consequences.   In other areas (immigration most notably), you don't have any sympathy for those skirting the laws regardless of the reasons or justifications.

Of course you are correct about a shower seat.  I am familiar with them.  The sudden onset on this condition has not given me the proper amount of time to pursue a remedy such as you suggest.  Finding one that will fit in my particular shower and meet my needs takes some time.  If this persists it will indeed become a necessity.  But in the meantime until I can make arrangements, I am forced to deal with the excruciating discomfort.  I also have access to some meds that could provide me some sort of relief yet with the timing of my drug test, I am precluded from using any of them.  I also have orders for X rays to try and find answers to this problem yet it all takes time to go through the process.  As a cancer patient of many years, I am very familiar with all the processes, protocols and turnaround times involved.  It just plain sucks to be me right now and I must suck it up and deal with it.  That said, it still hurts like a mother fucker and because of circumstances I must suffer with the pain, even though I do have the means to alleviate it to a degree, except that these stupid laws that are a direct result from this bullshit opiod crisis eliminates that as a possibility.  I value my need to work over everything else and as I said, I can only strike out once and I am finished being able to work in my profession.
