"The photos maybe don't do it justice," he added. "I feel as if I've seen worse, especially when I lived in NYC during the last economic boom."

Pacific Heights crawl space for $500 a month sums up San Francisco's crazy rental market

"We aren't going to sugar coat this, as you can see by the photos, this is a basement crawl space and the ground is uneven. My roommate Neil has agreed to help out and level off the dirt crawl floor and we have some scraps of rug to throw down. There is a decent amount of room for a mattress and night stand and you can keep a dresser in the garage. You will be able to run an extension cord into the crawl space for light and the garage provides decent heat for those chilly SF nights or feel free to bring in a space heater."

The CL listing has been deleted by the author... I'm willing to accept that they were just making a snide comment on the state of things, not actually thinking they'd have anyone take them up on it... but are open to actual offers.

Looks like JFW got a hog.

Probably regretting the whole thing and wondering if you're the guy she really likes.

SF home-buying ‘insanity’ means paying $1 million over list price

There were at least 10 such sales in San Francisco over the past year, 14 in Santa Clara County and five in San Mateo County, according to Multiple Listing Service data. They ranged from teardowns to mansions.

There's a nice pizza place nearby but apart from that we
always go to the Mission DIstrict (I think) to eat.

{#Arrowd} This place was closed every time we went there. Forget what it's called

Me too, but I figured it out pretty quick. I agree tho that there hasn't been a nice place to eat in the upper Haight ever, really. Some good basic food usually but not like that.

The only thing I didn't like about the article was the headline. Heat lamps made me think of food lamps, not patio lamps.
