The Warfield does not have a great sound system. I would prefer a different venue, but it was the band that counted for me! {#Bananajam}

Ah, you can BART there and skip the Tenderloin completely. If you want to. I think it's been cleaned up a lot since I used to live in the City (they waited for me to leave? )

But the Warfield's a pretty great place to see bands. Sounds good, especially in the balcony.

I saw Porcupine Tree on August 11. 2010.  They are my favorite band.  They had been on a worldwide tour and decided not to come back to the states, but one of their musician friends (Mick Karn) got sick, so PT decided to perform a series of ten shows as benefit concerts to raise money for Karn's treatment for cancer.  The concert was at The Warfield in San Francisco (a terrible part of town, if you know what I mean), but the concert was well worth it.  Porcupine Tree had been on a three-week hiatus from their European part of the tour (they are much more popular in Europe), so they were fresh off the plane and jet lagged, except for John Wesley, who is the session musician from Florida and who has played with them for years. The concert was unrehearsed but still very good; if you have ever seen them, they are a precision band, like Pink Floyd was in the 70s when they were still together.  If you really like Porcupine Tree, I would highly recommend their concert video, "Anesthetize," filmed in Tilburg, The Netherlands, in 2008 (Blu-Ray). {#Wave}
  I like PT a lot. I first heard them right here at Radio Paradise. Bill G. plays them quite a bit. Welcome to RP! {#Wave}

It is not, actually, a hallucination. It is called synesthesia. That is, it is not a glitch, it is a feature.

You guys keep posting pictures of Yes concerts.

It gives me such a strange sensation... like remembering a first kiss or something.  Makes me all mushy inside.

Last Friday, got to see Peter Frampton for the first time in 31 years (In Atlanta, Ga).  No more curls, but he still rocks.  And yes, I still feel like he does (important now that we are both 50+)!

Steve Miller was there as well.  Framptom played a set with the Steve Miller Band which was right on.  If you can contibute to their retirement fund by attending, it's worth the trip{#Bananajam}
