Radio Paradise

Here's an oddity:

I started ripping the Octoshape stream yesterday morning, about 23.5 hours ago. That was 7 am local time. I left it ripping (in fact it is still ripping now), but when I got home and looked in the rip directory, it seemed to have stopped at about 3:30 in the afternoon! {#Headache}

The Streamripper popup showed that it was still ripping, but I didn't see where, until I poked around.

I found that it had stopped ripping to the directory "C:Program FilesStreamRipper32Radio Paradise - DJ-mixed modern & classic rock, world, electronica & more - info radioparadisecom", and it was NOW ripping to "C:Program FilesStreamRipper32Unnamed Server".

Looks like I didn't lose anything, but it IS odd! {#Ask}

I notice that Bill changed the encoder some time yesterday... is this an artifact of that?!?

The Octoshape link has changed. http://www.octoshape.com/index.php?page=showcase/play&variant=PARADISE&lang=en When I click on the Radio Paradise 192 icon, it says the Octoshape Plugin is starting up.... but nothing happens. My old leftover link in iTunes still works.

Mac OS 10.5.6
Firefox 3.0.6
iTunes 8.1
Freshly downloaded and installed Octoshape.

When I launch the RP Octoshape 192 stream, it launches iTunes.

Sounds great, and plays for a while, then suddenly switches to playing my own iTunes library.

Is there a simple solution? This is why I stop listening to RP. It just doesn't stay on, and is REALLY disruptive when it cuts out and I have to think about how to fix it.

What happens if you try the link ( octoshape:PARADISE.stream1_mp3 ) from the Windows Run... dialog?

I would like to use octoshape but I get: "Firefox can't find the file at octoshape:PARADISE.stream1_mp3." I use winXP, firefox and winamp, that used to work with octoshap and RP but I've been gone for a while and now it doesn't work anymore...
