I don't like 'em either but the wife & my son wanted to watch so it was a double whammy negative night for me (except i did get to watch Walking Deadso the evening wasn't a total waste).
Ohhhh yea! This episode was one of the relationship, calm setup for later shows ones but next week's promises plenty of violence!
Me neither nor am I a big movie fan so that is a double reason not to watch. I actually love all of Seth's shows but don't think he is a good fit for host of Oscars is that what they still call it? (I haven't watched since the 70s).
I don't know what the show's producers were thinking. He just doesn't have enough experience being onstage. In some of the clips I watched this morning, you could see his eyes darting back and forth as he read the teleprompter. Well, at least he was more entertaining than James Franco. I think it's been determined he was the worst (co)-host ever.
He's the creator of the Family Guy series. I agree he was pretty bad. His demeanor reminded me of a smarmy game-show host. I only tuned in for about 20 minutes. I'm not a big fan of awards shows anyway.

Seth MacFarlane was a total screw-up as oscar host, all his jokes were terrible and that whole broadcast was painful to watch. Never heard of the guy before, wish I'd never heard of him after.

I am completely happy with Daniel Day Lewis' and Jennifer Lawrence's well-deserved Oscars.
And now I will have to see Arco. (Way to GO, Ben!)
Did anyone notice how Renee Zellweger looked over-medicated or drunk or both? That was kinda scary. I thought she just might topple over.
