edit: looks like some of the streams aren't back online yet, like Drone Zone. Rusty posted an update on the site:
"A few channels are still off the air. We should have them back in the next hour."
He deserves a toast for making it through. Planned outages can always go sideways, no matter how much planning you do, or backups that you have on hand.

The main website came back online at 4:03 PM.
The primary streaming servers (icecast) JUST started to come back online at 4:45 PM.
And it looks like all primary streams were finally back online at ~4:48 PM.
Phew! That was a ~2 hour outage! Must have been nerve-wracking for the whole crew.

Oh my. Somehow I accidentally deleted my own first comment when I thought I had accidentally double-posted.
It's always interesting to see how many people are sleeping to Drone Zone over there, or the massive swing on Christmas Eve/Day when Groove Salad is knocked down to #3 or #4 and "Christmas Lounge" racks up ~4,000 concurrent listeners.

Both Radio Paradise and SomaFM use "broadcast automation" like a regular radio station, but all of SomaFM's feeds are 100% synchronous live 24/7.
A couple of days ago, SomaFM sent an email out that they were doing a power cutover in their small datacenter at the San Francisco office. The entire station was going to be off air for up to 30 minutes from 2:30 - 4:00 PM today. It went offline at 2:52 PM today.
Being an IT Systems Engineer, I was interested in their server uptime stats. So I emailed Rusty early Monday morning, and he sent this:
There are a couple of Windows playout boxes with over 2000 days uptime. And a lot over 1000 days. The longest linux boxes are at 355 days because I had to reboot them to do some security upgrades.
He is still using hardware processing via Orban Optimod 1101 audio cards in a physical computer, though he has upgrades planned soon to go all-software with an Orban Optimod PCn-1600.
Let's all send extra good vibes to Rusty & crew right now because shutting down systems with such long uptimes is always a massive risk.
Thanks for the info. If things aren't resolved, I'll sleep to SBS Chill tonight.
