Excellent - glad you like it as well. I love the intersection of classical and African folk music, especially in a traditionally European instrument like the cello!
I listened on Spotify this morning. Really interesting mix. There are moments that feel like 1982...and others that feel like 1622. Thx.
Kurt - I like the new PT...but nothing on the album felt new. I liked Wilson's Future Bites session stuff a lot more (in 2021).

Appreciating that it's harder and harder to hear new music... what album released in 2022 is your favorite (so far at least)? It took a few listens (like every Radiohead album save In Rainbows for me), but I find myself enjoying this as much as anything (I've heard) released in 2022.
...
Good to know. Steven Wilson tweeted that this was his favourite for 2022. I will have to give it a bunch more active listens.
Speaking of Steven Wilson, the only brand new music from 2022 that I can remember I bought was Porcupine Tree's Closure / Continuation. A fine album, if you're in the mood for it.

Also in the running:
- Cruel Country - Wilco
- Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms, and Lava - King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
I won't know my favourite new album until I go through the results of Triple-J radio's hottest 100, about a week before Australia Day. That's the best I can do to try to keep up with the cool kids

I vote for Wilco.
Or perhaps... "Songs From Another Life" by The Boys With The Perpetual Nervousness.
