I guess this is more like "down-tempo" or "chill" than it is electronic - so many categories these days but I didn't think I should start a new thread for those sub-genres.  Just recently found this after hearing it on SOMA-FM - hard to search for the artist with that colon in the name.  Nice stuff - I listen to a lot of stuff like this when I'm drawing or painting:

Yeah, he certainly had a mixed following.  I think he's still active these days.
