Also, there's a bug in the website where it doesn't respond when you click "Submit," so you wait, then click it a couple more times and finally your post posts 3 or 4 times.

Maybe it's not a website problem. There was a major Firefox update that drastically changed the look of the browser. When you click on anything (like "submit" for posting on RP forums), there use to be a spinning wheel (or something similar) that showed something was going on. That way, you knew your 'click' really did happen. Now it only shows an 'X' in the top left corner area of the browser. I know it confused me at first and I would click again. I did have a post once that showed up twice in the forums, I just deleted one of them. I noticed more duplicate posts here in the forums since that FF update.

Hello, Well I'm a little bit lost but clearly experimenting the song "cut" quite often.
This leads probably to different play list as the length of song in FLAC is different (cut). For exemple here are screen shots at the same time from the Web site and the LMS platform:

Web Site:

https://1drv.ms/u/s!As2-p2i3xVkgvv00KmREaGTX4uVxoA

LMS Platform:

https://1drv.ms/u/s!As2-p2i3xVkgvv01z6_7wrwhvwv_cw

Starting with “Dead Cab for Cutie” (“#”) at the same time and going up you see the variation is played songs… With Emerson, Lake & Palmer and Emancipator played on Web site and not on FLAC stream.
Then both (but obviously not at the same time) played Sam Philips etc…

Hope it helps.

Thanks.

Best

Thierry

Thanks for taking some time to investigate.
As you said it's quite easy to hear the difference when you have one player in the kitchen playing AAC 320k and one in the living room playing FLAC.
I've checked the play list against the web site and the AAC 320 is accurate.
But after a while (1 hour ?) the FLAC play list is very different from the one shared on the site (using LMS/Squeezeplayer and the plugin "What was that song" it's easy to compare).
Let me know if some screenshots could help.

The overlap is more annoying that the different play list (even if my wife prefer to have the same song in both rooms...).

Thanks!

I don't know if Tpicq's diagnosis is correct, but I sometimes have the same symptoms, just in the Mac/Chrome browser (beta player). I'll notice an announcement playing over music, then the announcement's done and a song begins, but the music "bed" that I heard under the announcement is still playing as well.

Maybe 1 time a week on average, not often enough yet for me to know for sure if there's something happening before that triggers it.

That definitely doesn't sound right. I'll investigate.

Any 2 RP players will gradually diverge from each other in timing, but not as drastically as you describe. And the cut off songs, etc are definitely not normal.

Hello,

Obviously I like Radio Paradise and Love it using FLAC... {#Roflol}
I have 2 separate systems, one using LMS/Squeezebox with Micheal Herger plugin to access FLAC stream (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?108189-Announce-Radio-Paradise-Lossless-Streaming-(Plugin-v2))  and one using the RP App on Windows 10 streaming AAC 320kbps.

I found that the FLAC stream very often "cut" songs and switch to another one or RP "announcement" and that the playlist after some time is very different between the AAC program and the FLAC one.

It may be normal but the song "cut" is very annoying...

Anyone experiencing that ? Some ideas?

Thanks.
